Zhu Tong didn't know how long he had been kissed against the doorframe—it was long enough that he couldn't quite keep his balance on his own.
His legs felt weak.
As they parted, Shao Ming used his thumb to gently trace Zhu Tong's lips, his gaze deep and his voice husky, "They're a bit swollen."
"..."
"Your skin is so delicate, it blushes easily."
Hearing Shao Ming say this with such seriousness made Zhu Tong a little embarrassed. He lowered his gaze slightly, licking his lips, and said, "It's okay."
As long as others couldn't notice.
He knew that Shao Ming had boundaries.
Ever since moving here, Shao Ming had always been careful, considering that there were housekeepers around and people they had to face.
Then he heard Shao Ming continue, "It's not just here—other places are the same. It's easy to leave marks if I'm not careful."
That was why he had been holding back all this time.
Shao Ming's hand drifted down to Zhu Tong's pale neck, suggestively rubbing the skin with his fingertips.
Zhu Tong couldn't help but shrink back, shivering as if there were electric currents running beneath his skin.
"We'll be back at school soon."
Zhu Tong knew what was on Shao Ming's mind, and he understood his own feelings too.
Shao Ming paused, his fingers resting against Zhu Tong's neck, and he lowered his head to ask, "Hmm? And what about going back to school?"
"..."
Seeing Shao Ming playing dumb again, Zhu Tong glared at him, exasperated, "You..."
Shao Ming smirked, "Is the young master planning to settle his debt?"
Zhu Tong played along, feigning ignorance, "What debt do I owe?"
"Love debt."
"..."
Shao Ming cheekily wrapped his arms around Zhu Tong's waist, pulling him closer, with a confident tone: "You still owe me a stack of IOUs. Are you planning to default on them, young master?"
Zhu Tong pushed against Shao Ming's face that kept coming closer. "That was all you acting on your own..."
As he spoke, Zhu Tong paused.
During their kiss, he hadn't noticed that Shao Ming now had faint dark circles under his eyes.
Thinking about how Shao Ming had been working tirelessly these past few days, the warmth in his heart subsided a little, replaced by concern. He reached out to touch the corner of Shao Ming's eye. "You have dark circles now."
Shao Ming immediately pulled out his phone and used the back of it as a mirror. Then he dismissed it lightly, "It's fine, doesn't look too bad."
Zhu Tong: "..."
So, his face is more important than his well-being in his eyes!
Zhu Tong pushed him gently, "Go take a shower and get some rest. I'll call you when dinner's ready."
But Shao Ming didn't budge. Instead, he suddenly wrapped his arms around Zhu Tong, acting spoiled. "I don't want to sleep."
Zhu Tong: "?"
Worried, Zhu Tong asked, "You can't sleep?"
It was true that excessive mental exhaustion could lead to insomnia.
