From the school gate to the second-year teaching building, one must pass through the sports field, go through the administrative building, and then take a few steps up the stairs.

Zhu Tong was caught in the position just outside the administrative building, needing to go up the stairs.

Three people stood in his way: besides Yuan Shaozhao with his slicked-back hair, the other two had dyed hair, making them appear intimidating.

Zhu Tong calmly asked, "What do you want?"

The three hesitated for a moment. They had come based on insider information from Class 3. Although the girls had said the new transfer student was good-looking, Yuan Shaozhao hadn't thought much of it since those girls tended to exaggerate.

To his surprise, this time, they hadn't exaggerated. Too bad the boy looked frail.

A frail person was easy to handle.

With a smug and sinister smile, Yuan Shaozhao said, "I heard you've been seated next to Shao Ming?"

Zhu Tong shuddered at his smile—not out of fear, but because it was too greasy.

Although Yuan Shaozhao was one of the admirers of the Mary Sue, he wasn't even a backup plan, merely a pawn at her disposal. His looks were mediocre, and his character even worse.

That smile, paired with his oily, slicked-back hair, was nauseating.

Feeling sick to his stomach, Zhu Tong took half a step back and responded, "Yes, what about it?"

Yuan Shaozhao inwardly smirked, thinking Zhu Tong was afraid.

"Nothing much. I just wanted to tell you that Shao Ming's desk partner isn't a spot meant for you. You'd better ask the teacher to switch your seat, or I can't guarantee what might happen."

He spoke with a menacing tone, while the two lackeys beside him moved closer.

At Gongshui County No. 1 High School, there weren't many transfer students, and most who had sat next to Shao Ming in the past had ulterior motives and were unwilling to give up their seats. But in the end, they all complied.

As long as the transfer student hesitated for a moment, Yuan Shaozhao was prepared to show him the price of hesitation.

However, he was disappointed.

Before his two lackeys could close in, Zhu Tong, with an indifferent expression, said, "Oh, I see."

Yuan Shaozhao: "..."

The two lackeys: "..."

So easy?

The situation had developed in a way they hadn't expected, and the trio was stunned.

Zhu Tong continued, "Is there anything else?"

The trio: "..."

Zhu Tong: "Then may I leave now?"

Without waiting for their reply, Zhu Tong sidestepped them and headed toward the teaching building.

Yuan Shaozhao felt frustrated, like punching into cotton. He instinctively wanted to stop him, but a teacher was approaching in the distance, so he quickly retracted his hand.

On the stairs, Zhu Tong heard the system's voice in his head, "Host, are you really going to change seats?"

Zhu Tong replied, "Change what seat?"

"You just..."

"I said I understood. I didn't say I agreed."

System No. 666: "..."
