Qin Junhong was dragged out of the private room by two bodyguards. As he passed through the hallway, someone from the neighboring art class party bumped into him, recognized him, and quickly retreated back into their own room, their metabolism seemingly stalling in shock.

"Damn! You won't believe who I just saw! Zhu Xin's older brother! He was knocked out and dragged away!"

"Knocked out? No way!"

Curiosity piqued, another person rushed out, but the bodyguards worked with impressive efficiency, and by the time they got to the corridor, the man had already disappeared. Turning back, he saw a familiar profile next door.

The private room door closed again.

"What older brother? That's Zhu Xin's biological brother. Why is Zhu Tong here? Is he really feeling better?"

"Zhu Tong? Where is he?"

The door to the private room opened for the third time, but Zhu Tong was nowhere to be seen. All that remained in the corridor were a few people leaning against the wall, one girl peeking out from the room. Suddenly, her heart was completely captured.

"Damn! Ladies, there's a handsome guy out here! He's wearing a suit and looks so dapper! I have to go flirt with him!"

"Handsome guy? Isn't that Zhu Tong? Who's out there? You all look the same!"

After a moment of confusion, someone finally reacted and scanned the room. "Where's Zhu Xin?"

"Yeah, where's Zhu Xin? Sisi, call her..."

They instinctively looked for the person who was closest to Zhu Xin in the private room, only to find Qi Sisi sitting alone in a corner, dazed, her face as pale as paper.

...

In the neighboring room, Shao Ming did not follow them inside. The siblings sat on the sofa in silence for a long while.

Zhu Xin was not acting like her usual self, snuggling up to Zhu Tong or displaying the cold indifference she had shown toward Qin Junhong earlier. Instead, she resembled a child awaiting punishment for a mistake, nervously biting her fingernails.

Zhu Tong parted his lips to speak. "When did you find out?"

As soon as he spoke, Zhu Xin realized he must have heard everything.

The bodyguards in the room had surely noticed by now, yet no one had warned her.

Thinking of the things she had just said made Zhu Xin want to run out and jump off the corridor... How embarrassing!

She lifted her head and said, "Brother, I..."

Zhu Tong interjected, "Knowing all this, why didn't you tell me?"

After saying this, he fell silent himself.

What difference would it make to tell him?

Xiao Xin had clearly known long before he did.

Previously, when he was in the hospital, he could hardly take care of himself. What could he have done if he had known?

He had sent Xiao Xin to their grandfather's house under a system of assurances, and this was something he had always felt guilty about... He had previously lacked trust in their grandfather.

He also lacked confidence; he feared that one day he would become a nuisance.

He was afraid that their grandfather would be just like their father, that his affection for them would be fleeting.

He had too many concerns, and perhaps Xiao Xin felt the same way.

But he knew that after he left, the system would still be there to support him, while Xiao Xin would have to bear everything alone.
