With the start of the new semester at the university in September, the twenty-day military training commenced. Dressed in their standardized camouflage uniforms, some students blended into the crowd, while others attracted attention wherever they went.

[In China, military training is a mandatory part of university life for new students, typically lasting two to three weeks at the start of the academic year. The training aims to instill discipline, physical fitness, and patriotism.]

"Did you see that handsome guy on the bike over there? He's from the Computer Science Department and comes over here every day after military training to see his boyfriend."

"No way, someone that good-looking has already been taken? Who is it..."

Before the sentence was finished, they spotted their new Financial Department crush making his way over to the cyclist.

"..."

"It's Zhu Tong! We need to keep a close eye on him; just yesterday someone from another school was asking about him!"

"Ugh, people nowadays really lack self-awareness. Can't they see the caliber of his boyfriend? If I had a boyfriend as stunning and accomplished as that, I wouldn't even glance at an elder like Grandpa Cheng."

The two girls chatted as they turned away.

Zhu Tong had already reached Shao Ming.

Shao Ming quickly approached to steady him. "Be careful."

Seeing him so anxious made Zhu Tong smile. "I'm fine now; look, the scab has come off."

He lifted his leg to show a red mark where the scab had healed on his knee.

Shao Ming: "..."

A couple of days earlier, during practice, Zhu Tong had accidentally been knocked down, scraping his knee on the asphalt.

Shao Ming had already requested leave from university for him, but Zhu Tong insisted on continuing with military training, and Shao Ming couldn't persuade him otherwise.

Once they returned to the apartment they had rented off-campus, Shao Ming immediately pushed him down onto the sofa after he finished showering and fetched the first aid kit.

Zhu Tong felt he was making a big deal out of nothing. "Really, there's no need for more medicine; it's already healed."

Shao Ming replied, "It's for the scar."

"..."

After the start of the semester at Q University, the two of them found themselves in a new city, choosing to rent an apartment off-campus instead of staying in the accommodations arranged by his grandfather.

After applying the medicine, Shao Ming organized the first aid kit and squatted in front of Zhu Tong, looking up at him. "It's not even a formal training session; why are you taking it so seriously?"

Zhu Tong: "..."

How could the university's official military training not be considered formal training?

Zhu Tong replied, "It's a rare opportunity. After the military training, there will be a lot to learn, and we might not have the time..."

He looked up at Shao Ming and fell silent.

Shao Ming smiled knowingly, standing up and saying, "No time to exercise?"

"......"

Suddenly, he reached out, turned Zhu Tong to the side, and pressed down on him, climbing on top. "How about I check your military training results today?"
