Jiang Wenhan's upstairs was not directly above the main hall. Upon entering through the front door, the main hall led to a back entrance that took them to the second floor, which featured a glass observation deck suspended in mid-air, designed for enjoying the beautiful scenery surrounding the main residence.

Nearby was an irregularly shaped swimming pool that formed its own bay, surrounded by gardens that created a tranquil natural environment. In the distance lay the beach and ocean, where the occasional roar of waves crashing against the shore could be heard.

It was hard to say whether the owner of this estate preferred peace or chaos.

The two followed the maid across the glass walkway to another building.

Stepping away from the hustle and bustle of the main hall, the maid led them to a tea room.

Before pushing the door open, Zhu Tong tightened his grip on Shao Ming's hand and said earnestly, "Once we go in, you stand behind me."

He looked quite anxious, and Shao Ming could easily tell what he was thinking. He chuckled softly, "Alright, little young master, are you really that protective boyfriend type?"

Zhu Tong: "..."

Being protected by his boyfriend in front of potential troublemakers felt a bit embarrassing.

Zhu Tong frowned again. "You should stand in front of me."

Shao Ming had no objection. "Alright."

Zhu Tong: "..."

Then what was the point of him following along?

"Never mind; let's just stand together."

Shao Ming nodded once more. "Sure."

Finally unable to hold back, Zhu Tong turned to see the amused and slightly suppressed smile on the person beside him. He was instantly at a loss for words.

Why was he so tense while the other person seemed completely unfazed?

Wait, why was he even nervous?

It was just a casual meeting with someone inconsequential.

The maid also felt a bit perplexed. Their young master was such a gentle and courteous person; he was hardly a monster. Why was this guest so on edge?

After a moment of silence at the door, Zhu Tong couldn't figure out why he was so anxious and decided to push the door open.

Inside the tea room, Jiang Wenhan was brewing tea, and beside him sat a young man who appeared calm but whose gaze seemed somewhat unfocused. Upon hearing the door open, he looked up, and his expression changed instantly.

"Who let you come up here?"

The question slipped out from the young man sitting next to Jiang Wenhan, who was, of course, Xia Yang.

"I came to see what you were up to," Zhu Tong replied frankly, then turned to the person who had stopped brewing tea. "What? Am I not allowed to come?"

Jiang Wenhan also looked up at him.

Before coming, Zhu Tong had seen Jiang Wenhan's photos; he was a favored son of the Jiang family, and it was no trouble to find out basic information about him.

Jiang Wenhan had well-defined features and a gentle demeanor, the kind of appearance that girls found appealing.

His character matched his looks; he regarded Zhu Tong for a moment, then turned his gaze to Shao Ming, finally resting his eyes on their interlocked hands.
