*Ashley's POV*
It was cold outside. The wind was blowing hard against my face and my hair was flying behind me. I had to get away from here, but where to go? I couldn't go on the bus because of Echo and CC. I was not going back into that club. I looked around and saw a bar across the street. I figured it was better than sitting out in the cold or getting lost.
I made my way across the parking lot and over to the curb. Cars were zooming by and I had to wait for a red light to be able to cross the street--not that I would have cared if I got hit by a car. I ran across the street and through the parking lot. The line wasn't long to get in since it was almost one in the morning.
As soon as I walked through the door, I made my way to the bar. There was a girl bartender here. She came over to me with a smile. Her lips were bright red. They matched her shirt. She had curly black hair and brown eyes.
"Hey, sweet thang," she said with a wink. "What can I get for you?"
I sighed and looked down at the napkin in front of me. "Just give me the strongest thing you've got . . . and keep it coming . . ."
She walked away muttering to herself. Not a minute later, she was back with a red drink in a tall glass. She set it on the napkin and walked away again. I took a huge swig, downing a third of the drink in one gulp. I felt the alcohol start to rush to my head as soon as it hit my stomach. Damn, this stuff is strong.
I took another gulp which emptied the glass. I slammed it down on the bar and the red-lip-girl brought another one over immediately. I chugged it and thought that this probably wasn't the best way to handle my emotions, but I didn't give a single flying fuck at the moment.
The alcohol numbed me for a while . . . But I knew the pain would come back ten times stronger . . .
*two-thirty a.m.*
*Andy's POV*
After dancing and drinking a little more, Riot and I looked around for Jinxx, Jake and Ashley. I found Jinxx sitting at the bar and laughing with some girl that had huge boobs. Well then . . . Riot spotted Jake on the dance floor with a group of girls grinding with him. He had a beer in one hand and paper in the other. I assumed they were phone numbers from girls around the club.
Riot grabbed the two of them and dragged them to the door. I kept looking around, but couldn't find Ashley anywhere. I called him on his cell too, but it went straight to voice mail. I walked over to the three of them and frowned. "Has anyone seen Ashley?" I asked. "I can't find him and he won't answer his phone."
Jake frowned at me. "He was upset about something earlier and he just kinda left . . . He didn't say where he was going and I didn't want to badger him . . . He seemed really pissed . . ."
I sighed. "Alright then, um, let's split up and find him? Jinxx, you check the bus, though I doubt he'll be on there with Echo and CC getting busy. Jake, you and I will keep looking here. He might be in the bathroom or something. Echo, will you check the bar across the street? I hate to have you go over there alone, but we have to find him soon."
They all nodded at me in response and we split up. Riot and Jinxx walked out the door together. Jake took one side of the club and I took the other. I just hope he's okay . . . Why would he be so mad that he left though?
*Riot's POV*
I jogged over to the bar across the street by myself. There were drunk guys outside making repulsive remarks about me and what they'd do to me, but I ignored them. I walked right into the bar and looked around. It was almost empty, minus a booth with four people, and six guys and two girls at the bar. It was quiet except for the laughing girls at the end of the bar and three guys were talking about the zombie apocalypse.
I finally spotted Ashley on the far end of the bar. His face was a pale white and he was intently staring into his glass, filled with a strange-looking red liquid. I slowly made my way over to him and stood behind him silently. He didn't seem to notice. I tapped his shoulder and he jumped and spun around quickly.
"R . . . Riot . . ." I could smell the alcohol on his breath. He stared at me with wide eyes like he was surprised to see me.
"Are you okay? Jake told me you were upset about something and I wanted to make sure you were okay . . ."
"Um . . . Yeah . . . Yeah, everything is all good," he slurred. He was wasted . . .
"O-okay . . . Well we're leaving soon and the guys told me to come find you. Need help to the bus?" I offered. I tried to smile, but it was hard. He looked so upset.
"Nah, I'm good," he said as he stood up. I watched him take two steps and he had to grab onto the bar stool so he didn't fall and crack his head on the floor. "Okay, maybe I do need some help," I giggled and wrapped my arm around his waist and made him rest his arm on my shoulder as I held his wrist.
I helped him towards the door, but he stopped me before I could push it open. "Hey, Riot?"
"Yes, Ashley?" I said as I looked up at him. Why were they all taller than me?
I heard him take a deep breath before he bent down and kissed me. I squeaked as he continued kissing me. He tasted like alcohol. I tried to pull away, but his arm was still around my shoulders and he was pulling me closer to him.
After a few seconds, he pulled away and stared at me. "Nothing . . . Just wanted to do that," he said.
He pushed the door open and pulled me through it. As he stumbled along with me under his arm, the bus pulled up and the driver opened the door. No one was visible and the driver wasn't paying attention. Ashley bent down and kissed me again before letting me go and staggering drunkenly onto the bus.
I stood there for a moment thinking to myself. Why would he do that? He knows Andy is my boyfriend. Maybe it's just because he was drunk? I walked onto the bus and sat on the couch silently. Ashley disappeared into his bunk and the guys were starting to get ready to sleep.
Meanwhile, I stayed on the couch staring at the floor thinking to myself. WHAT THE FUCK!?
