"Do you think I could ask Mom for new binoculars?" Aeri questions as she glances at her rose gold binoculars on top of her bedside table. It was early in the morning and she was just getting ready for the day. She had a long day today considering it was Riku's swim race not only did it mean free food and drinks but it also meant a good time to go matchmaking.
"Why? What's wrong with your binoculars?" Seri asked, also glancing at the rose gold binoculars. She had been getting ready the same way Aeri was.
Aeri hums as she finishes braiding her hair into two braids. "I feel like the potential meter is broken." She stands up from her vanity, making her way towards the bedside table to grab the rose gold binoculars. Examining the object with a slight frown, she hoists it up to her eyes, pointing it at Seri who was finishing with her makeup.
"Maybe it's just not a match, Aeri," Seri said, touching up her makeup before standing up.
Aeri gasped, her mouth agape as she stared at her sister in horror. "Don't say that!"
Of course, Aeri didn't say anything about matchmaking her sister with Riku, if anything Seri knew nothing of what was about to come. Sure, she may have spoken with Riku a few times and even played volleyball with him, but that was it. The girl wasn't interested in him but that didn't mean it was the ending for Aeri's matchmaking. She had to at least give them a chance despite their 16% potential.
All Aeri told Seri was that Riku invited 'them' to the swim race. Seri, however, seemed as if she really wanted to go because the girl agreed right away, not even bothering to ask any more questions.
The two girls arrived at the Canoe Lake in no time. Seeing numerous campers gather around by the perimeter of the lake. There were food stands courtesy of Demeter's kids and free drinks being roamed around to give out. As Aeri scanned the vicinity, she caught Jaehee who seemed to be waving at them to come closer.
Near the edge of the lake propped a large blanket filled with snacks as four boys occupied the space. The Ares kid, who Aeri knew as Ryo, patted the free spots on the blanket, gesturing them to take a seat. Seri went ahead and took a seat beside Sakuya while Aeri sat down next to Yushi.
"Where's Riku?" Aeri asks, grabbing a box of Peppero to munch on. Her gaze falls onto Yushi who seems to have been looking around for something. The worried look on his face concerned her a bit, urging her to ask him. Maybe he's looking for Sion? She thought to herself and tried to follow his unsteady gaze. Speaking of Sion, where is he? Ever since he dropped that bomb on Aeri, she never really saw him again. Not that she was looking for him anyway.
