The sun blazes in a cloudless sky today, casting a golden hue over the whole campsite. The air is thick and shimmering with heat while the leaves of numerous trees surrounding the campsite rustle softly in a lazy breeze. There was a distant sound of laughter and splashes as multiple campers indulged themselves in some cold water to cool off from the burning heat.
Meanwhile, at the Archery Range, Yushi stood there as he watched Sion shoot his shot. The arrow flew in the air as it landed on the red dot with a thunk.
"Nice one!" He calls out, giving a thumbs up to his friend.
Sion had been meaning to practice archery for a while now, and since Yushi was the one who quite mastered the skill between the two of them, he lowered his pride to ask if he could help him practice. And so here they were, practicing under the sun's strong glare.
As Sion adjusted his arrow on his bow, Yushi couldn't help it as his mind drifted away from practice. The longer he stared at Sion, the more guilty he felt for liking the same girl. Just how is he gonna tell him?
"You know," Sion began with, causing Yushi to snap out of his trance for a moment. "I've never actually admitted it before, but I really like Aeri."
And there goes Yushi's stomach twisting uncomfortably at the topic. Why did he have to bring her up now? An awkward smile plastered on Yushi's face as he slowly nodded to Sion's words. He didn't really know what to say, not that Sion needed a response either.
"Sorry," The Zeus kid sputtered, his cheeks flushed red. "You're probably sick and tired of me talking about her all the time—"
Kinda. Yushi thought to himself. Though he never really cared much about what the Zeus kid talked about before. But since the situation was a little bit different now, he wished that Sion would just stop talking about the girl so that he didn't think about her too.
"—and I get it. But you're the only person I can freely talk to about this. Riku's... well, it's a shock—not really—but I find it funny that we like the same person. Though, I'd understand why he'd even like her in the first place."
"She's kind, talented, sweet, compassionate—a little bit persuasive sometimes—helpful, and of course, beautiful, The way she could stand out in the crowd? It's just effortless for her."
Yushi found himself agreeing to every single thing Sion mentioned and that's when he knew he was just as down bad. A sudden silence falls upon them as only the rustle of leaves and birds chirping accompanied by every arrow that landed with a thunk could be heard.
