❛ can't take a hint ❜▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂
Two years ago. Summer. Sion had been meaning to spend some time by the Fireworks Beach though he only had one person in mind to ask. Making his way down the row of cabins, stopping at a particular cabin that embodied nothing but beauty, love, and charm. With a painted roof, large concrete pillars full of tiny beige pebbles and scallops, and a blue-and-white checkerboard deck with steps, and gray walls. There is a purple door framed by lace curtains and potted carnations just by the window.
It was Aphrodite's cabin.
Sion stood by the deck, running his fingers through his dark brown hair to fix his bangs. He reaches out to knock on the door but before his knuckles can even touch the purple surface, the door swings open revealing Jaemin.
"Oh, Sion! What brings you here?" He asked though he knew well that the boy was here for his certain redhead sibling.
"I was just wondering if I could take Aeri to the beach?"
Jaemin grins widely, looking back inside the cabin and then at Sion. "Of course you can! Wait here, I'll go get her." The purple door slams close making Sion flinch a little, backing away as he waited for the said girl to arrive.
It didn't take long for Aeri to be pushed out of the cabin, stumbling forward as she stretched out her hands to break her fall, but luckily for her Sion was there to catch her. A restricting feeling settles at the back of her throat, she coughs lightly, clenching his arms for a bit before letting go.
"Sion!" She calls out as she stands up straight, tilting her head a bit to the side. "What brings you here?"
The Zeus kid hums, tucking his hands into the pockets of his jeans. "I wanted to go to Fireworks Beach with you, I mean," he clears his throat, "Only if you want to go with me... that is."
"Of course, I'll go with you!" She bobs her head up and down enthusiastically. "Besides, I've been meaning to go there. They say a lot of potential lovers go there this time around."
It was no surprise that it was matchmaking this and matchmaking that. Ever since they first met, matchmaking was always something Aeri took pride in. She always mentions how through it, she gets to live through her mother being the embodiment of love and attraction. And Sion was fine with all of that, not until she began pushing her matchmaking skills onto him.
"Wah, the water looks so pretty today." Aeri marveled, running into the beach barefoot as Sion held both of their shoes. Sion smiles at the sight in front of him, butterflies crowding his stomach as his heart beats uncontrollably against his chest.
