apollo's music festival day two!

It was day two of Apollo's Music Festival and it seemed like everyone was just as excited as the first day, if not, even more. Aeri was sitting at the front of the Aphrodite booth, letting herself bask underneath the sun as she waited for any of her siblings to call just in case they needed extra help. Like yesterday, she had the morning shift so she decided to sit out and put her binoculars into work.

It had been a while since she last properly matched someone together and the fact that her last two clients—Yushi and Riku—didn't turn out like how she thought it would. Not that she was complaining because who would've thought they had been crushing on her and not some other demigod she had been setting them up with, but a part of her couldn't help but feel bad for not being able to see through them quickly.

As she viewed the sea of demigods through her binoculars, seeing everyone's heartbeat rates as she went along, her line of vision went to the right until a pair of boba-like eyes blocked her vision. Startled, she quickly brought down her binoculars to see Riku's smiley face inches away from hers. He leaned back, his lips pouted a bit before he spoke. "Need some help?"

Aeri narrowed her eyes at him. "Aren't you supposed to be helping out at your booth?"

"Aren't you?" The son of Poseidon retorted with an eyebrow raised.

The girl huffed, letting her binoculars hang loose around her neck before crossing her arms in front of her chest. "I had the morning shift, so I'm free for the rest of the day."

"Lucky me then! Come on, let's go look around!" Without another word, Aeri gets pulled up from her seat. He didn't really say much and Aeri just assumed that he wasn't busy with his own booth. Riku looped his arm around hers as they walked through the crowd, occasionally stopping by a few booths to check them out. Eventually, they caved into buying merch from the merch booth where they both got matching cat ears headbands.

"So, tell me, how did you begin matchmaking anyway?" Riku questioned as they sat somewhere a bit far from the chaotic festival life at the field. He held onto his cup of ice cream, taking a scoop before propping the spoonful in his mouth. "I mean, there has to be an origin to this whole scheme, right?"

"Well, yeah. It has been years since I arrived at Camp Half-Blood and my first few days here were very normal—that is until I tried that painting workshop at the Arts and Crafts Center." She said, remembering the first time she ever stepped into the center and being surrounded by numerous demigods though the majority were Athena kids. "I kind of tripped and ruined an Athena kid's painting but his easel falling over caused two demigods to interact with each other, and that's literally the origin of how my mother claimed me."
