It wasn't every day that a new demigod arrived at Camp Half-Blood. Some demigods hate the thought of a new arrival while some feast on it, the excitement of having someone new around to talk and battle with evident in the way they act upon it. At the Dining Pavilion, it was nearly the talk of every single table—the new demigod.
"Hm, everyone's really curious about the new demigod," Yushi uttered as he took a sip from his goblet, lips pursing as he glanced around, slightly hearing the conversation from the table beside.
"I mean, it's been quite a long time since a new demigod arrived at camp," Aeri shrugs, taking another bite of her glazed ham. "I'm sure you're as equally interested in the new demigod as them." She teases, a small smirk dawning upon her lips making the Athena kid beside her blush lightly.
"N–No I'm not!" Yushi tries to deny although he was definitely thinking about the new demigod a while ago. "Okay, maybe a little—" Aeri lets out a loud cackle, breaking into a wide smile before nudging him with her elbow.
Seri, who sat in front of them alone (her boyfriend's at a quest), couldn't help but tilt her head. "I'm curious." She began with, grabbing the pair's attention.
Aeri immediately gave her the hard eye, she kind of knew where this conversation was gonna go. After her talk last night with Seri? Oh, she definitely knew Seri was going to do something about it.
"What do you mean you two aren't official?" Seri questioned as she fluffed her pillow to get ready for bed. The two were talking about their relationships with one another, a little late-night gossip before going to be as usual.
"I mean, we're not official— at least not yet," Aeri says timidly. "I hope..." she adds making Seri's jaw drop.
"You mean to tell me he hasn't asked you to be his girlfriend yet?!" Seri whisper-shouted, cautious that she might wake up any of their siblings who were already snoozing off. Her eyes were wide and Aeri was surprised they were not yet bulging out of her eye sockets from how wide they were. "How come?"
"I mean... I don't know— we've already established the fact that I am his and he is mine— stuff like that! But... we never really talked about labels, though honestly maybe we don't need one..." Aeri trailed off, a thought in mind. Well, if they've established that fact, do they really need to label their relationship? And then it hits her—she's the camp matchmaker, obviously, she should know something about this. If this were some other demigod's problem, she probably would've already rattled about how labels in relationships are important.
Aeri shook her head at the memory, eyebrows furrowing together as she continued to eye Seri who blatantly ignored the younger girl. "Curious? About what?" Yushi replies, raising an eyebrow at the older daughter of Aphrodite. Usually, during meals like this, he wouldn't really give a damn about what Seri has to say but with her pressing tone, it seemed like her curiosity was directed not only at Aeri but to him as well.
