The amphitheater was jam-packed with demigods rushing to find the best seats they could. The sound of boisterous chatters filled the air as Yushi and Aeri navigated themselves through the crowd of people. They arrived a bit late so they had expected that there weren't any seats left, though the son of Athena was sure that his friends already saved them some seats.
Yushi held onto Aeri's hand tightly as they passed through numerous cliques of demigods who were waiting for the show to begin. As they whisked their way through the crowd, eventually, Yushi spots the rest of his friends somewhere by the middle. Sion was half-kneeling on his seat as he ushered the two to hurry up.
"Took you guys forever!" Sion complained but moved over for them to take a seat. "Had fun today?" He questioned the girl as she sat between him and Yushi.
Aeri flashed him a smile, nodding her head gleefully. She was about to reply something when the sound of multiple demigods hushing as the lights that once lit up the amphitheater had gone dark.
The show was finally starting.
One of the Apollo kids started off the night by dedicating the whole show to their father before calling out the first performers who happened to be from the Apollo cabin. The rest of the evening went along with numerous demigods from different cabins and cliques performing one by one receiving thunderous claps, howls of laughter, and whistles of joy.
It was nearing the end of the set when the last performer was called out and a familiar dark-haired boy made his way up the stage, subtly glancing over to his partner. Aeri narrowed her eyes at the performer, not being able to see the young man's face due to the lack of light. However, thanks to his outfit, she soon realized that it was finally Riku's turn to perform with his friend.
"It's Riku!" She whisper-yelled towards the two boys and they nodded in return, glancing at each other worriedly before at the girl who kept her eyes trained on the stage.
The sound of the microphone being tapped reverberated throughout the amphitheater and the audience was hushed quiet as the lights went back on, now illuminating the performer's faces.
Riku stood by the stage, momentarily gazing down at his feet in anticipation. He never really performed much on stage but ever since he confessed to Aeri, he suddenly felt like he had to let it all out through a song, and so, he approached one of his friends Ryu to perform with him at the upcoming music festival. Slowly, his gaze trailed up from his foot and he saw the sea of demigods crowding the whole amphitheater clearly though only one caught his attention like before.
