More than a week has passed since the Apollo's Music Festival and things have been going smoothly for Aeri in terms of her matchmaking schemes. She has been giving numerous advice to Ryo in order for his relationship to become successful. Unlike her previous matches with Yushi and Riku, Ryo's match had a certainly high potential which actually relieves her because from all the mismatches she made with the son of Athena and son of Poseidon, she almost believed that she was losing her touch.
Today, she had high hopes for Ryo and Ichigo's relationship. After accidentally (not really) locking them in the walk-in refrigerator, it seemed as if they'd gotten closer, and Ryo's usual snarky comments towards the girl finally died down. This technique was driven from the time Aeri got locked up in the refrigerator with Sion and she must say, the walk-in refrigerator helps a lot in getting two people to fix their baggage with each other.
It was during morning training with Yushi that Aeri decided to put her plan into action. With Sakuya, Ryo, Jaehee, and Ichigo present at the scene, it was easy for her to push her matchmaking project to the next level--that is if Yushi would let her.
The son of Athena had been blocking all of her attempts to put her plan into action. It wasn't that he was against her matchmaking his friend, but he was just more focused on helping the girl train archery than anything else, and the girl being distracted with her matchmaking scheme doesn't really help.
"Aeri, focus, please," Yushi uttered, tapping on her shoulder to grab her attention. The redhead had been eyeing the two kids bickering at the sideline. It was something about Ichigo being a better archer than Ryo and though it was true, Ryo couldn't help but argue back his own skills despite Sakuya already teasing him about it.
"Huh? Oh, uh, right! Sorry, Yushi!" Aeri said apologetically, lowering her head at his stern gaze as she began to focus on her target.
Yushi glanced at the younger demigods beside them and playfully rolled his eyes. "If you manage to hit the middle mark this time, I'll let you off today." He proposed, watching the way Aeri's eyes sparkled upon his words. He breaks into a small smile as the girl instantly fixes her posture, raising her bow and arrow, pulling back the string, and marking her target.
The girl wasted no time, releasing the trigger as the arrow flew across the air in one swift motion. The arrow landed on the middle mark with ease and the boy couldn't help but gape at the accuracy, because despite her getting better during the weeks they'd been training together, this was the first time she seemed to willingly shoot a 10. Now, he wonders if the girl just needed the right motivation to make her shoot better than usual.
