Chapter 27

Heyo peeps long time no see. Hope you're having a good day or night depending when you read this. I got a small burts of energy to get back to this story. Let's just hope it's holding out till a finish it, so bare with me. Enjoy the new chapter.

When i woke i was in my bed, i slowly stood up and tried to process what could have happened. Then i remembered that we met that entity Abasi, i probably passed out due to the lack of air and probably the stress it caused. I slowly climbed out of bed and walked out of my room.

- Hey Pheebs you okay? You should  stay in bed. - Gary appeared suddenly

- Its okay, im okay i wouldn't be home if i didn't. Right?

- Yeah, the doctors said you probably passed out due to exhaustion from choking.

- What happened to Abasi?

- We don't know the team is on to track him down.

- He knows we have the books but dosen't seem to know where. So that's good.

- Yeah Ray and Winston hid them good.

- Yeah. What should we do?

- Nothing, at least not yet, they told us to sit back a little. They're going to take care of the ghost sithing for a week

- I never thought i will ever say this, but that's good.

- Yeah, we all can use a little break.

- Where is Melody?

- She's in the living room, she didn't wanted to bother you.

- Is she mad?

- No she was worried, i think you should go tell her you're okay.

- Yeah - i said and walked to the living room. She was sitting on the couch.

- Hey - i said as i've walked in the room. I noticed her leg was bouncing.

- Oh hey.. - she said, but she didn't even looked at me.

- You okay? - i asked as i've sat down next to her.

- Yeah yeah.. - she answered but still haven't looked at me.

- You don't seem like you do. What's up?

- I can't do this Phoebe.. - she said and felt my heart stopping for a second.

- What do you mean?

- I'm sorry, but i have to go - she said and stood up.

- What? Mel wait - i said and grabbed her hand. - After all? What's wrong? Talk to me.

- I'm sorry Phoebe - she said and pulled her hand out of mine. - I don't want to see you again. Its over - she said and rushed out. And i've just sat there frozen. I wasn't able to process what just happened, but then i felt tears running down my face.

- Phoebe what's wrong? - mom walked in, but i wasn't able to form a single word. She hugged me and i curled up in her arms for i don't even know how long. After i stopped crying i just felt so exhausted, and tired i just passed out. A few days had passed, but i wasn't able to reach Melody, she wasn't answered my calls and when i went to her house she wasn't opening the door. I can't believe she did it again, i trusted her.. I feel so stupid for letting my guard down again just to be betrayed again. But somehow it just dosen't feel right, why did she just did this all of a sudden. Like this, maybe i did something? Or is there something else in the picture, or someone else? The thoughts were just bouncing in my head as i was trying to. But since i wasn't able to focus on the book, i decided to go for a walk instead.

- Hey Phoebe - i heard a somehow familiar voice. I looked at the direction and notice Emily walking towards me.

- Oh hey - i said on a tired tone.

- Are you okay? You seem like done.

- Yeah im fine.

- Are you sure?

- Yeah - i looked at the stuff in her hands.  - Are you working on a project or something? - i asked she seemed confused at first then i pointed down on her hands

- Oh yeah school project. Im trying to build a robot, but somehow i just can't get somethings work.

- I can help if you want.

- Really?

- Yeah sure.

- Omg thank you - she said. We walked to her house and went in. We walked up to her room. - Again sorry for the mess i wasn't expecting company - she said.

- No worries my room looks kinda just like that. I guess is a genius thing. So where is the robot you're working on?

- Oh right here - she said and pulled a shee off of a life sized robot from scraps.

- You got this together by yourself?

- Yeah but some parts just dosen't seem to work.

- Well let's see it then - i said and we started working on it. A few hours has passed. - Okay let's test it - i said and give the remote to Emily.

- Okay - she said and pushed some buttons. The robot started moving and waving. - Omg you did it. Thank you so much.

- No problem.

- Also have you got something out of the books?

- Well yes its way more complicated than we thought. And dangerous, these books could end the world.

- Yeah, but i'm glad you and your family has it. You guys are the best.

- Thanks - i smiled. - I think im gonna go now.

- Oh yeah, thanks again.

- No problem - i said and walked to her door.

- Are you sure you're okay?

- No, but i'll be fine, eventually.

- If there's something i can help with let me know. - i nodded and walked out of her house and the i went home.
