Chapter 24

I was sitting on the couch when i felt my phone buzzing in my pocket. I took it out and seen a message from Melody that says "Im here" I stood up and walked downstairs. Alright Phoebe don't freak out this is just a dinner, with your family and your girlfriend. What could go wrong right? I walked to the door and opened it.

- Hey

- Hey, you ready?

- Yeah i guess. Do i look okay?

- You are perfect

- Okay. But are you sure?

- Im sure - i said and smiled, she stepped in and walked next to me. She was nervous, she's usally so confident, but now she is nervous. It was pretty cute. - Why are you staring at me?

- You're cute  - i said and i've seen her face starting to go red. She turned away and mumbled something. I just smiled and took her hand in mine. She sqeezed my hand i've seen her became calmer. We walked upstairs where everyone was, when we got up they looked at us. Melody sqeezed my hand a bit harder, i started rubbing her hand with my thumb.

- So everyone this is Melody.

- Hi.. nice to meet to you all. Like actually meeting. - Mom and Gary walked up to us.

- Nice to meet you too Melody. I'm Gary - he shook hands with her.

- I'm Callie nice to meet you - mom said and also shook her hand. - Come sit down with us dinners ready - she said. She nodded and walked to the table, after we sat down we started eating. Mom and Gary started asking questions from Melody. She still looked a bit nervous so i held her hand under the table. After we finished mom and i started to do the dishes. Gary and Trevor was talking with Melody about something. It looked like they understood eachother pretty well.

- She's nice - mom said suddenly.

- You really think so?

- Yeah i can see how happy she makes you. Im sorry you had to hide it this long. She can stay for the night if you guys want it.

- Really?

- Yes, but please behave we're not so far away from your room.

- Mom stop - i said and felt my face starting to go red.

- Alright, alright but still.

- Finee but can we stop talking about it now?

- Yeah, now you  can go back i finish the rest.

- You sure?

- Yes

- Thanks mom - i said and dried my hands. When i went back to the others they were playing some kind of video game.

- How can you be this good, you said you never played - Trevor said while concentrating on the game.

- Natural talent i guess - she said, then she killed Trevors character.

- No way dude

- That 3 in a row, wanna go again?

- Nah you're too good.

- Hey guys who wants to watch a good movie? - Gary showed up

- Oh so we're watching something that isn't yours? - Trevor said

- Haha very funny - Gary said. - Its a horror movie about a killer who wears a hockey mask.

- Oh deffinetly not - Trevor said

- Im up for watching it - Melody said.

- Finally someone who has taste.

- Huh yeah sure. Anyway im going to my room enjoy the movie. - Trevor said and stood up from the couch and walked away. I sat down next to Melody and and gave her a kiss on the cheeks.

- Alright guys its starting - he said, then down on the other side of Melody. The movie was as expected horrible. After it ended we all wemt to our rooms.

- Your family is pretty nice.

- Thanks looks like they like you as well. You deffinetly won Gary's heart.

- The movie wasn't that bad. - she said and sat down on my bed.

- Yeah if you say so - and layed down, she followed me and turned towards me. She leaned on her elbow.

- What about your mom?

- She also likes you, she said you can stay tonight.

- That's a relief, i was afraid she's not gonna like me.

- Same. Im glad this all turned out good. At least we don't have to hide now.

- Yeah - i said i moved closer to her so she layed one her side and hugged me.

- What about the book? - she asked, which made me let out a painfull sigh.
- That bad?

- Yeah looks like the books are also traps for to other entities. So if Ammon gets out those entities are also gonna get out.

- Oh..

- Yeah, even Winston seemed worried.

- Its gonna be okay

- I hope so - she started rubbing the back of my head. - But what if i fail?

- You fought two gods already, with basically the same chances.

- Yeah, but feels like this is different..

- It is, but that dosen't mean you can't win. You are the smartes person i know Phoebe, im sure you're gonna figure it out. And im gonna be right behind you, so does your family. You don't have to fight this alone Phoebe. - she said i just looked up at her then i pulled her down to kiss her.

- Thank you.. i really needed this

- I know. - she said and smiled. She slowly turned so her upper body was above me. And her hands were on the both sides of my body. She haven't said anything just looked into my eyes. Then looked over my body.

- What?

- Nothing im just enjoying the view.

- Oh are you?

- Yeah its pretty great - she said and smiled. I grabbed her t-shirt and pulled her down.

- You talk to much..

- I know, but you love it

- You're way too confident

- Maybe - suddenly i granned her waist and turned our position so i was above her. - Ha!

- Good move Spengler.

- Thank you - i slowly lowered myself and kissed her. She placed one head on the back of my head while the other way on my tigh. The kiss was slow and full of emotions. None of us wanted to pull away when we ran out of air. - Maybe we should get ready for bed - i said sitting up on Melodys lap.

- Yeah

- Im gonna go, and take a shower. - i said and climbed off of her

- Okay, oh uhm can i get something to sleep in? I forgot to bring clothes.

- Yeah grab something from my closet.

- Thanks - i also grabbed a t-shirt and shorts from the said closet, and walked out of my room
