Okay so 878 got backlash but yall can hate on my posts alhamdulilah I don't care if a phone cost £599 and top ups are Like £10-20 it doesn't make a difference...
Read this before you think you know everything about phones...

The worse part of contract phones is you're paying for the phone and airtime and before it was different so think before getting phones
What do you actually use the phone for
Will you really need all that airtime
Or just end up paying more for nothing (riba)I'm talking of a situation a revert sister from Manchester got a phone unlimited texts, data, calls, 1tb she paid £121 a month for 36 months and
It's not just the phone
She has to pay her airtime and half the time she ended up in hospital hasbunallah wa nimal wa akil and so all that airtime was going to waste because she was sleeping.
Once you get a contract it's hard to get out of it. Hard to alter it and the company does not care if you're using it or not, you committed to pay it and you must pay it.
On a 0hr contract and no sick pay she nearly wound up in debt the poor thing until she got a phonecall from esa who was willing to support her whilst she was off sick.We are questioned how we spend our wealth too so think of the 36 month contract you're paying more airtime and it might be more or less depending on which device you pick!
24 months you might pay as much as the 36 month so think about how much the phone is on their websites and work out the airtime and riba...
You might need the airtime for business or studies but a lot of the time it's wasted money on scrolling...
I pay £40 with airtime for 36 months and my contract finishes soon but I'm paying exactly what the phone is worth with Airtime so you need to Watch out that you're not paying more than what it's worth... or just buy a second hand phone and buy top ups and go easy and use WiFi and hotspots.Look for the best deals
If you're paying a high upfront cost it should reduce the monthly charge and not add anything to it and if you notice this on your bill call them up...
So let me roll this out for you because it's a pain I know...
Let's say you want a 24 month contract
Refurbished iphone 14 yall
you pay £301 upfront
Monthly for airtime and device
£46.45
You're paying £1114.8p total but remember the price increases in AprilIt's still cheaper to buy outright at carphone warehouse £599 the airtime doubles it in price, but I'm not sure if top ups are better or not ... I say use your WiFi and if people want to call let them call you- only use it for emergencies only...
Iphone
Iphone 16 pro 1tb
If you pay a contract phone £71 for 36 months its riba
512gb
44.99 for 24 months with upfront cost of £299 is fine
£71 ×12×3=2506 after upfront cost some networks cost more
This is RIBA
Upfront £2258 why not just get the 13 £27 for 24 month contract £648 same as contract or buying outrightSome networks vary and it rises by £1.50 every April which in this situation we may need the phone for emergencies and things so we can't avoid their price increases.
Samsung
(which I always found funny like what song is Sam referring to exactly- anyways let's not drift off the subject I just felt Like making you smile mashaAllah)So the latest is the s24 ultra
£1,549.00 on some websitesOn o2 it is a 36 month contract
1tb£3,336.48
Upfront £30
You literally pay nearly 4 grand when it comes to phones I don't care
I'd rather save thousands and go to haj
Unfortunately most are 36 months now for interests rates
Now it's not good to get contracts
I think I'll hang on to my phone a while longer
USwitch still offer 24 month contractsLet's see the Google pixel 9 pro 512gb
On u Switch it is 53×12×2 plus £139 upfront cost
£1411It is cheaper
On the Google website for Google pixel pro xl upfront £1099
So choosing a phone without riba is going to be a mission
Or is it ?Those tiny phones weren't such a problem
People called, texted and played snake on those phones and no ribaYou topped it up with credit and that was it
You actually spent less time using the Internet and the smart phone has not been my favourite eraMore people are isolated, insecure and forgetting how to act like kind sensitive human beings or just take random advice from people off the Internet and I can't wrap my head around it.
Anyways that's my research for you
Any phones you want me to look up
