As much as they are corrupt and support murder of our brothers and sisters in Palestine and all over the middle east and are openly doing slavery in congo and other parts of Congo (these are opem sins) people especially teenagers don't want to feel left out - do not give away your good deeds especially to those undeserving but that's what happens when we backbite.
To attack the character or reputation of a person who is not present (backbiting).
Speaking false information or lies about a person who is not present (slandering).
As Muslims it is our responsibility to guard our tongues and minds from satan and to avoid things which are forbidden. The instructions from the Qur’an and hadith are clear regarding the stance on backbiting and slandering. It's hard, but not impossible and if you want to say something about someone, speak to Allah, on sujood if they're bothering you and eventually trust me you'll forget about them.
We live in a digital age where information spreads rapidly.

Don't backbite...
Be good people, you choose to be a horrible society and why not spread kindness... if people start sharing kindness this is sawab for you and lots of it. I didn't want this I wanted to help a woman and thought nothing of it I was humble about it and she told everyone mashaAllah and they kept hugging me years after subhanAllah that's Allah showing me He was Happy. Even if this doesn't happen Allah shows you in subtle signs like he gives you blessings like children mashaAllah...
However the false information spread across platforms in India like WhatsApp has resulted in MURDER this is why a message that has already been forwarded many times has a limit and can only be forwarded to only 5 more people because the company faced a serious legal lawsuit...
Indeed this lawsuit protection was from Allah, we can hope those Muslims will receive jennah who were harmed injusticely and now do you understand why it is very bad to backbite and to slander.

You send a message to people and that's easy enough isn't it, but then they see me and they smirk, they do a whisper giggle and straight away to the device and text or they take a photo from afar and pretend it's a selfie, but I knew it was taking a photo of me and why it didn't bother me? My dear brothers and sisters I'm not going to fight them when they are in denial and I can take all their good deeds and they're all mine and they have to learn kindness costs nothing and learn from this story that the person who spoke to me I helped her, then she spread rumours about me because she was manipulated by Satan about why I helped her because you get those types of people who's ego and pride are in check and those who are misguided and I didn't think anything but I knew she got upset from me helping her? So I just gave Salam and left and she decided to expose me and I didn't mind because they were just 13-17 years of age but imagine on social media in hours a video can reach millions of viewers

“Those who love (to see) scandal published broadcast among the Believers, will have a grievous Penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: Allah knows, and ye know not.”👇🏽

“O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is Accepting of repentance and Merciful.”

From hadith
In another hadith, upon passing a grave the Prophet (ﷺ) said the person of this grave is being punished for committing a major sin. He went on to say, that the person was being punished for making false and defamatory statements and made friends into enemies.
What is bankruptcy? We may think it is having no cash, or owing more money to debtors or creditors than that which we have in our own accounts. No, this is not real bankruptcy.
In the hadith Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala says the one who is bankrupt is the one whom on the day of resurrection has exhausted all his good deeds. Not because he did not pray or donate to charity but because he “reviled others, brought calumny (false testimony) against others, unlawfully devoured the wealth of others, shed the blood of others and beat others”.

This Is especially important if you backbite
This Surah warns of the severe punishment on three grave sins, and then highlights the nature of that severe punishment. The three sins are backbiting, deriding and selfish hoarding of wealth. The words hamz and lamz are used in several senses. Most commentators agree that the word hamz, from which is derived the word humazah, means to 'backbite', that is, to speak ill of a person behind his back. The word lamz, from which is derived the word lumazah, means to 'slander' or 'to deride', that is, to speak ill of a person to his face. Both these sins are morally and socially obnoxious and deadly. The Qur'an and the Sunnah have sounded a stern warning against these sins. However, 'backbiting' is, from one perspective, worse than 'slander'. 'Backbiting' is worse because the ill of a person is spoken behind his back; the victim is not present to defend himself and put an end to it; thus the sin continues to be committed to a greater and increasing degree. 'Slander', on the other hand, though an obnoxious sin in itself, is relatively less in degree than backbiting, because the victim is present to defend himself and put an end to face-to-face insulting or fault-finding with him. From another perspective 'slander' is worse than 'backbiting', because to speak ill of a person to his face is tantamount to insulting him and denigrating him. This is morally and socially more harmful and hurting, and therefore its punishment is more dreadful. According to a Hadith, the Holy Prophet ﷺ has said,
