**Kaiser.**

"How are you feeling?" I questioned inside the locker room, my phone to my ear as I listened for Ziggy.
{"Better.. I'm sorry I'm not there."} He replied.
I smiled softly.
"As a human? Your health comes first, don't apologize for it either. I mean, there's nothing even happening today." I told the other.
{"O-Oh.. hey, Kaiser..?"}
My brows furrowed from how serious the other suddenly sounded.
"Yeah?"
{"I.. I'm thinking about getting a schedule change."} He told me.
I frowned softly.
"Is everything okay?" I questioned.
{"..."}
"Ziggy?"
{"I just don't like my final class."}

There was more to that sentence, I didn't want to push him either though.

"You don't have to answer me, but did something happen?" I asked the other.
{"..."}
{"It's just a bad vibe.. I know it sounds silly-"}
"It doesn't." I told him.
"If something doesn't feel right and changing classes will make you feel better? I say go for it." I told him but my brows furrowed when the locker room door swung open.

Jackie stood there out of breath with wide eyes that were jet black.

"Hey Ziggy? Let me call you back, something's up with Jackie." I told the other.
{"O-Oh sure, I'll talk to you later."} He said quietly before hanging up.

I walked over to Jackie.
"What's going on? Your eyes-"
"We just found Joshua." He told me as my brows furrowed.

"You.. found him? What do you mean-"
"Joshua is dead." Jackie glared harshly at me as my eyes widened and was running past the other.

I ran out into the hall and looked for our friends.
Before I found them.

I ran up the group as I made my way into the classroom and felt myself stiffen up.
Joshua was laid out on the teachers desk.
But that's not what had me stiff.

It was Jayce crying over his brother's body.

"What the fuck happened?" Rocky demanded walking into the room but stopped himself with wide eyes, that went straight to black seeing Joshua.
Jayce looked up, tears stained to his face.
"R-Rocky, he won't wake up." Jayce sobbed.
"I keep shaking him, but he won't open his eyes." He told the other.
Rocky's brows were knitted as he approached the other.
His eyes traveling onto Joshua's body.

"W-What do I do?" Jayce asked.

"Jayce." Dorian walked over to the other.
"I have to do something, my brother is just laying here, his body is ice cold." Jayce cried harder now.
"H-He ran off earlier because there was something he needed to do, and when I went to look for him, I found him here." Jayce hid his face now.
"I.. I don't understand, I just want him to wake up." He cried.

I looked to Stetson who ran a hand through his hair before walking over to Joshua's body and listened.
Jayce stopped crying as he watched Stetson who frowned deeply.

"Jayce, I need you to listen to me very carefully." Stetson said as he placed his hand on Joshua's chest.
Jayce's brows knitted but nodded.
Stetson frowned at the other.
"Joshua is transitioning." He told the other.

"He's what?" Rocky glared as Stetson glared back.
"Don't." Stetson growled as Rocky looked away.

Jayce looked at Joshua's body.
"W-What do you mean he's transitioning? Are you saying, he's going to be like you guys?" He asked.
Stetson frowned softly.
"Yeah, he's going to be a vampire." He told Jayce whose face flushed red and more tears fell.
"T-This isn't happening." He turned and Dorian embraced the other, trying to calm the smaller teen down.

"If he's transitioning, isn't it dangerous for him to be here?" Devin asked with crossed arms.
Stetson looked to him.
"It's very dangerous actually, he'll be a newborn." He frowned.

I stepped back, glaring softly in Jackie's direction.
"Keep everyone here." I told him as Jackie made a face.
"Where are you going?"
"I have an idea of who did this, and I'm going to find out why." I said going for the door but Stetson's hand landed on my shoulder, stopping me.

"I'll come with you, if things go south, you'll be out numbered if both Magna and August are with him." He told me.
I frowned deeply looking at Joshua's body.
But my thoughts were on Jayce who looked so broken over this.

It was a good day for Ziggy to miss.
He didn't need to be here for this.

I stormed down the hall with Stetson at my side, I already knew he would be in the auditorium, that's where he always chose to be when he was bored.
Or after he did something like this.
Whatever his reasons were?
He went too far.

"Are you going to kill him?" Stetson asked me.
I looked to the other.
"Wouldn't you want to?" I questioned.
Stetson frowned at me.
"Of course I would, but he didn't kill the kid-"
"But he did, Stetson, he broke Joshua's neck." I frowned at the other.

We stormed into the auditorium.
And sure enough.

He was in the room with his group.

"Well, isn't this an honor?" Devi grinned wickedly at us as I glared storming down the stairs.
"There is no honor here, Devi, you killed Joshua." I accused without even making sure my facts were straight.
But his expression told me enough, that it was him.

Devi stared before sighing.
"Guilty, but he won't be dead for long." He grinned as I glared at him.
"That was not your choice to make, you don't get to make decisions for those boys! Not everyone wants this life, and you took his without a second thought." I growled.

"Oh no trust me, there was A LOT of thought, but after realizing how sexy he is when I was fucking him? I wanted to make this a permanent thing." Devi smiled as I stormed right up to the other but a hand was slamming into my chest by August who glared at me.

"How many more lives are you going to take before you're satisfied?" I asked him.
Devi blinked before smirking softly.
"As many as I want, especially if it's going to piss you off each time. What I do does not concern you, but you've seemed to put yourself in the position where you think I OWE YOU AN ANSWER!"

I couldn't even react fast enough to Devi breaking the arm of the bench off.
I let out a pained cry when it was piercing into my side.

"Kai-" Stetson went for me as I stood there, trying not to take a knee as I glared harshly at Devi who stared down at me.
"I owe no one answers, you are NOT the oldest one in this room. I am." Devi growled at me.
"If I want to kill a few humans and choose to make them vampires, that's my decision. I do not need to explain myself to ANYONE HERE!" He glared.

"If I choose to kill a human because he's mate potential? That is MY BUSINESS, you want to come in here demanding answers from me? Become a few more decades older, then we'll talk." Devi shoved the arm of the chair in deeper as I yelled in pain.

"Having that human in your life has made you this pathetic version of what you used to be, it's tragic how soft you become for someone whose heart still beats." He spat.

"Is that why you killed Joshua so soon? Because you didn't want to grow soft?" Stetson asked, glaring harshly at Magna who blocked him from getting to me.

Devi looked at him.
"Me killing him had nothing to do with not wanting to grow soft." Devi chuckled.
"I killed him because he's better fitted as a vampire." He shrugged.

"That isn't your call to make." I growled as the pain echoed throughout my body.
It's been a minute since I've felt any kind of pain.
And this was definitely going to scar once I was able to pull this piece of wood out.

Devi rolled his eyes.
"But it was, and he'll be beautiful with those eyes full of blood lust while he's in his newborn stage." He smirked now.

I wanted to move, but my legs were weak and as much as I didn't want to.
I took a knee as I tried to hold myself up.
"He'll kill innocent people, there are humans who don't even know about us, are you ready for him to ruin families because he won't be able to control his hunger?" I asked, gripping the wood as blood soaked my shirt.

Devi stared.
"I guess that would be pretty exhausting, good thing I don't care about what happens to anyone here besides those loyal to me." He shrugged.

My brows furrowed.
"You think Joshua is going to be loyal? You killed him without even discussing it!" I hissed.
Devi smirked softly.
"That's the beauty of being in control, he'll know to be loyal. That's how it works for any newborn, once they're no longer human, they look for the one who created them and that's when their loyalty begins." Devi grinned at both me and Stetson now.

"Tell me you both knew that." He said.

I wanted to look at Stetson, but my body was in too much pain to even move.
I needed to heal, but I couldn't.

"Stetson, don't listen to him." I growled.
I knew he would think of Rocky.

Devi grinned at Stetson now.
"That reminds me, your little mate was pretty rude to me the other day, as his creator you should really tighten that leash on how he talks to people." He told him.
Stetson's brows furrowed.
"Rocky is free to act how he-"

"Wants?" Devi smirked wickedly.
"If that was true, why do you think he corrects himself from the amount of glaring he does towards you?" He asked.
Stetson frowned at him.
"It's foreplay-"
"It's a young vampire submitting to his creator to avoid displeasing him. He corrects himself to keep from getting in trouble, because he does not want to upset you. He does not act how he wants, he walks on eggshells daily, that is how it is for any young vampire who is linked to their creator." Devi scoffed.

"And to think you call yourself his mate and you don't even know that much?" He asked.

"Ignore him, Stetson! He's saying those things to get to you, you and I both know that Rocky loves you, it has nothing to do with a fucking link." I snarled at Devi who shrugged.

"Think what you want, I honestly don't care." Devi ripped the wood out of me as I screamed, blood hitting the ground as I tried not to fall over.
"But I am tired of dealing with you, Joshua will be my responsibility. Now? If you want to keep your heads attached to your bodies, I suggest getting the fuck out and stop annoying me." Devi growled.

Stetson was at my side, helping me to my feet as he ran the two of us out of the room and into the locker room near the showers.

"Fuck!" I cried at the wound trying to close up.
Stetson stared at it as he ran the water.
He stared at it forever as my body ached in response to the pain.

"Stetson." I called his name as he looked to me.
"Kai-"
"You and Rocky are going to be fine." I moaned in pain as my eyes squeezed shut.
"Devi was just saying that shit to get to you-"

"What if it's true though? What if Rocky only backs off because of that link? Wouldn't that mean, he's only with me because I created him?" Stetson asked me.

"Hell the fuck no."

We both turned to the lockers where Rocky stood with Jackie.
Their eyes were on me and Jackie was at my side.

"What happened?" He demanded.
"I pissed Devi off, what else is new? How's Jayce?" I asked as Jackie frowned deeply.
"Devastated his brother is turning into one of us, Dorian is bringing them back to his house." He told me.
I nodded slumped against the stall door.
"Good." I let out a sigh.

Rocky looked at Stetson.
"Why would you ever think I was with you only because you created me?" He asked the other.
Stetson frowned at him.
"Devi was making-"
"Fuck Devi." Rocky growled storming up to the other.
"Since when have you EVER listened to what that dick had to say about anything? If you actually remember correctly, I was a human once who was in love with you before I turned, I chose you even before then. And babe, you didn't create me willingly, you got drunk off my blood and killed me on fucking accident." Rocky stepped up, cupping his mate's face.

"We piss each other off every single day, and I choose to listen to you with those warnings, because I hate having sex DAILY. It's exhausting, but there are days I slip up because like your other friends? You are a DUMB ASS." Rocky grinned at Stetson whose brows were knitted.

"I don't give a damn what Devi says or thinks about us, what I do care about? Is the fact he killed my friend. Joshua is going to be a vampire, and Jayce is fucking terrified of that outcome, he was terrified finding out about vampires and now his brother is going to be one, because Devi is a selfish bastard who only wants to please himself." Rocky frowned at the other.

"But I do care about you, more than you know, Devi doesn't control how I feel about you babe." He smiled softly as he tilted his head looking at Stetson.
"You're a bully, but you chose me and I chose you. We're mated together by choice, not because of what Devi says, you don't control me, just like I don't control you." Rocky told him.

Stetson frowned at him.
"Have I ever mentioned how hot you are when you're devoted about something?" He grinned.
Rocky blinked before he sighed.
"Like I said, you are a dumb ass." He stepped up with a smile.

"And there's no one else I'd rather be more devoted to, than you." He told him as he kissed the other.

Jackie sat there with me, watching the two.
His eyes fell on me.

"Well, that was gay."
