Niall's POV
I walk to Katelyn's room and knock on her door "Katelyn, wake up! It's a big day for you, dear!" I don't usually get this up early because Remembrance Day is an important occasion for Katelyn and her family. They will be observing the ceremony at the Cenotaph. Usually, Her Majesty The Queen will lead the tribute but HRH The Prince of Wales - Prince Charles will lead this time.
Princess Katelyn's POV
After Niall woke me up, I got off my bed and changed into something somber to mark Remembrance Day 2017. I pick a black dress to pair with a black hat, and with poppy. It's my sixth Remembrance Day since coming back to the family but I would let Niall pin the poppy for me, just like he did on my first one.
I head down the stairs and Niall is waiting by the end of the staircase. "Katelyn, you look stunning as always," he looks proudly at me. "I know what you want me to do," says Niall as I hand over the poppy pin to him. "There, perfect!" he says after putting on. "Perfect for you!" I say the pun to his song Perfect when he was with One Direction. "Oh stop, sis!" Niall blushes. "Ready to go?" asks Harry as he, William and Kate arrive. "Yes, of course!" I wear my black sandals. "Something's missing," Niall adjusts the bracelet. "Off you go!" he kisses my forehead.
Harry thanked Niall as William led the four of us to the car, where Joe was waiting for us.
Niall's POV
After sending Katelyn off, I tuned into the livestream of the service that's when Katelyn will make a balcony appearance alongside the family.
Cenotaph
Princess Katelyn's POV
Here we are at The Cenotaph in Central London. Granny always arrives last, William will lead the usual greetings since he and Harry are wearing their military suits while Kate and I curtsy. "Come along Katelyn, your siblings need to get ready with Dad," says Kate as we head up to the balcony.
The national anthem will be played and followed by a two-minute silence to remember the brave warriors. Dad, William, and Harry alongside Aunt Anne and Uncle Andrew will place wreaths of poppies. "Two minutes till we are ready, Your Royal Highnesses," Charlotte reminds me and Kate of the time. I will be standing on a different balcony because I'm currently sixth in line to the throne. I'll stand with Uncle Edward and Aunt Sophie.
Once again the national anthem is played and it's time to head back down. I got a text from Kendall: Dear, you are stunning as always! I smile at the text and another one comes from Niall: You kill it, sis! I have the best people in the world! "Katie, dear, come along!" Uncle Edward leads me and Aunt Sophie downstairs to see Granny off. I see the Cenotaph is filled with a sea of poppies! "Katelyn," Harry calls me, "Yes?" I ask. "Granny would like to have a word with you," he says. Oh okay, I wonder what will it be? I thought. I walk over to Granny, I see Dad and stepmother are with her.
"I would like to speak to Katelyn alone, please," says Granny. "Mummy," Dad and stepmother step back. "Right, your father agreed to your engagement to Kendall," says Granny. Wait, what? "I told you I have a way to get your father to say yes and congratulations my dear Katie," she says. I couldn't the excitement and joy! "Granny, Kendall just went back to the US today," I say. "Well, the announcement won't be until a week, he has plenty of time to pack and come over," adds Granny. "Off you go to prepare your engagement interview and photocall. I'll settle with your father," she says.
I thank Granny for her approval and I head back to William, Kate and Harry. We salute and curtsy when Granny leaves and it's time to head home.
