Chapter 26

Princess Katelyn's POV

William is confused by Harry's statement and so am I, is he (Harry) going to propose to Meghan? "Are you okay?" Niall squeezes my hand and I nod. "Well, I think it's time for the young ones to go to bed," says Catherine. "Well, that leaves me and Niall to it. Come on along, Uncle Niall is going to read you a story," I pick up Charlotte (Lottie) from her high chair. "Am I?" asks Niall, confused. "Yes, yes, you are! The kids will pick a story every night before bed. First, they need to wash up," I say.

"You're welcome, William," I say before William says thanks. Catherine gives me a reassuring smile. After the kids bathed, Niall and I put them to bed and this is a time when they pick a bedtime story. Lottie loves all things princesses and fairytales while George loves adventure-themed stories. I think Lottie is picking up her sibling's adventure story genre.

Niall starts to read the story of The Adventures of Paddington Bear. William and Catherine got this book when the four of us visited the newly-opened Paddington Station. Catherine got a dance with Paddington himself while the both of us got a kiss on the hand. "Do you want to read it again or do you want another one?" asks Niall after he finished reading the book.

There are a few books on the bed. George chooses a book that features Niall and 1D. "Oh okay, let's know more about Uncle Niall's adventures! Isn't it fun?" I ask George and Lottie. "Yes!" they both squeal. "Good luck, Niall!" I tease Niall. "Haha, very funny! Why don't you read this time," Niall hands the book to me. Okay, I accept the challenge.

Niall's POV

I gave this book to William and Catherine when George was born. He has to know that besides he has Uncle (Prince) Harry and Aunt Katelyn, he still has another uncle - me! The book is more on illustrations in which the lads and I went on crazy adventures together and some behind-the-scenes of the tour.

At that time, I gave Katelyn her first camera and she took most of the fun pictures before becoming a princess. "What's this?" asks George. "This is when we met your Gan-gan at a big performance. Here's one where your Aunt Katelyn toured London Olympics 2012, on the behind-the-scenes." I point to Katelyn's picture of meeting the lads. "Okay, we can look at this tomorrow," says Katelyn.

"Good night," Katelyn and I each kiss George and Charlotte. "After you," I open the door, "Thank you," says Katelyn. "The kids are in bed?" asks William. "Yeah, they sure are! And they are interested in Niall's 1D adventure," Katelyn looks at me.

William said he has been keeping an eye on our music since we first met. I don't know to live up to the expectations of a future monarch but I know I have Katelyn with me every step of the way. "And now, it's time for you to head to bed, Katie," I bring a sleepy Katelyn to her room. "Niall, I'm not sleepy!" she yawns. Even though she is 22, still she is my baby sibling.

"Okay, to bed with you and we will talk about everything for tomorrow," I kiss her forehead and close the door. I head back to my room.

Prince Harry's POV

Everyone is surprised by Meghan's planned marriage proposal. "Harry, can we talk, please?" asks William. "Sure," I say. I see Niall coming downstairs but no sign of Katelyn. She's already asleep. I'll say goodnight," he says. I need Katelyn's thoughts on my proposal to Meghan. "Alright, we can talk about this with Katelyn tomorrow morning, but I want to give you my personal view from a married person's perspective," says William.

"I'm happy for you both you and Katelyn, I do! Are you sure that Meghan is the one for you?" asks William. "Yes, William! I'm sure, you all got along with her well and look at George and Charlotte, they like her," I say. "Okay then! That means we are not one but two weddings to attend next year," chuckles William. "That means more pageboy and flower girl duties for George and Charlotte," I add. I say goodnight to William and Cath. I always check on George and Charlotte before I head to bed. George is always kicking off his blanket, I cover it up for him while Charlotte is truly a sleeping beauty.
