Miranda's pov
Daryl and I are both crying. "How are you still alive?!" He cries. "Jason saved me." I say. He glances behind me at him. "Where's Merle?" I ask. Just then they all pull up in a beat up station wagon. I walk over to Merle and grab his ear and twist it. "Whoa!! Hey, what the hell was that fer?!" He screeches. I smirk and push him toward Jason. "You owe him an apology." I state. "And why is that?" He snarls, glaring at him. "For shooting the guy that saved my life!" I gripe. His eyes go wide and he says he's sorry. I'm about to faint. I got Merle to say he was sorry. Everyone from my group is silent. "OK, everyone just went quiet, what's going on?" Jason says. "Whoa, I got Merle to apologize!" I gasp, still shocked. "Ha ha, don't get used to it." He mutters, swatting my hand. I laugh hard. Then I hear a familiar voice that makes me cry all over again. I turn around. "Glenn." I whisper. He limps toward me and I hug him tight. "I thought you were dead!" I whimper. He shakes his head and just holds me. Shane stares at the house. "Glenn look." He says, pointing to the house. He looks up. "Oh wow, it's the same place that saved me." "Saved you? What are you talking about?" I ask. "The governor really took a number on me. But the old man who lived here saved me from losing my leg and my life." He says. "Well, my dad is a vet." Jason says, "we better get inside. With all the noise you guys are making, you'll attract the infected." We go back inside. "Oh the boys from earlier. How's the leg, Chinaman?" His dad asks. "Um, he's Korean." I say, annoyed. Glenn laughs while holding my hand. "Inside joke." He says. I look at the floor. "You know the drill, boys." Glenn nods and hands over his weapon along with Shane. I'm a little confused. "In this house, strangers can't keep their weapons until we know we can trust you." His dad says. Jason sighs and rolls his eyes. Daryl and Merle will not take too kindly to losing their weapons. "Why didn't they make me give up my gun?" I ask, confused. Jason smiles. "Because you came here with me. And if I trust you, they trust you." He says. As I knew the Dixon boys cling tight to their weapons. Daryl's crossbow is slung over his shoulder protectively. The gun Merle carries is gripped so tight his hands are white. "Give up your weapons." His dad says in a warning tone. "No way." Both boys say at the same time. I slap my forehead.

Dad nods to me and I know what he means. I draw my pistol. "Put your weapons on the table in front of you or you can see yourselves to the door." I warn. Miranda stares at the gun in my hand worriedly. "Those stubborn Dixon boys." She mutters under her breath. "So what's it gonna be. I won't hesitate to shoot just like you didn't." I gripe, pointing to my shoulder. The one with longer hair sets his crossbow on the table reluctantly. The other guy, the one that shot me, still won't release his M 80. "Set it down." I order. "Merle listen to him!" She gripes. Finally he relinquishes it to my father. "Fine, but only for you, Squirt." Squirt? She blushes. "Shut up, ya dumb redneck!" She snaps. He just laughs. My dad collects the weapons and I follow him. "I don't like Merle nor do I trust him." Dad says. "My thoughts exactly." I reply, remembering the incident with the arrow. "You said he shot you, why didn't you tell me?" He says. I roll my eyes. "It's been taken care of. Miranda fixed it for me." I mutter. "You really like her, don't you?" He says, smiling. I glare at him as my cheeks flush red. Both of them now!? I glance back in the direction of the living room. "She's cool. I'm definitely glad I saved her." I say, avoiding the question. He looks at me. "Stop starin' at me." I mutter, looking away. "You like her more than that." He says. "There ain't nothin' we can do about it. She's dating Glenn." I gripe. "Ya never know what could happen." He says. "Can we drop it please!?" I grumble, scrunching my eyes. Thank goodness no one else is listening. I've never been more embarrassed and it's just my dad.

I was going to apologize for Merle's behavior when I overheard the conversation between him and his dad. I press myself against the wall. "It's only you and me. Answer the question and I'll stop talkin' about it." His dad says. "Fine, yes. I like her. But there's no way anything can happen. It shouldn't anyway. We're in a freaking apocalypse. We don't need to be thinkin' about that and especially we don't need to take the risk of bringin' any new kids into this world." He snaps. I rush away back to the rest of the group. "Behave. We are guests." I hiss to my idiot brothers. They both nod which shocks me. Merle walks over to Kasi. "Hey Sugar tits, how's about you show me our bedroom?" He flirts. She glares in fury at him and kicks him in the balls. I of course laugh my butt off. "Ya had it coming, Merle!" I shout. Jason and his dad walk back out. Instantly I feel weird knowing what I know after hearing what I heard. "What happened out here?" His dad asks. "Merle tried to get with your daughter." Shane says, laughing. Instantly both men get red faced and mad. A second later, Jason throws Merle out the door. "If he's gonna act like a dog, we're gonna treat him like one." He says, dusting his hands off. "You okay?" He asks his sister. She nods. "Hey Jason, can we talk?" I ask. He nods. "In private?" He nods more slowly and a little worried. We go in the kitchen.

"First off, sorry about my brother." She says as I sit down. I take a deep breath. Phew, at first I thought she overheard our conversation. "He's a bit of an idiot." I mutter, rubbing my chin. "On other more important matters," She says, rubbing her hands together. Her cheeks are fire red and it's starting to worry me. "I know you like me." My hands freeze. "You know I what?" I ask, worried. "I know you like me. I heard you talking to your dad." She says. Shit! She did hear me! "I don't know what you're talking about." I say, looking at my feet. Playing dumb is the best way to get through this situation. "Yes you do!" She says. "I don't know what you heard but it's not what you think you heard." I grumble, leaving the room.
