Miranda's pov

I stare in between the two. "Glenn, I thought you were dead!" I cry. "I got separated but I'm not dead." He says I glance down at my hand which is locked with Jason's, the rings still on our fingers. Abraham and Eugene walk over. "How'd you stumble upon our friend here?" Merle asks. "He was walking along the road and we picked him up. Now we have a mission." Abraham says. "What is it?" I ask. "We have to get to Washington." My eyes go wide. "Why?" I gape. "He's going to make the cure." He says, pushing Eugene forward. Jason's grip tightens and his stare is angry. "Come on guys there's plenty of cells." We follow him and me and Jason get our own cell. "You said there was no chance for a cure." He growls. "There's not. They're just wishful thinking." "But what if they aren't? What if they do? They won't be able to cure my brother since he's been shot in the head!" I'm not sure what to say. "You're not mad at me, are you?" He sighs and shakes his head. "I just..... My whole family is dead!" "That isn't your fault!" I cry, sitting beside him. He doesn't believe me. I can tell. He lays down. "It's getting late. We'll talk more in the morning." He says. I sigh and lay down too. He puts an arm around me and the blanket overtop of us.

*the next day*

Merle's pov

Me and Abraham are looking over the map. "This plan just might work. As long as that guy is for real." I mutter, rubbing my chin in thought. Daryl drops his crossbow on the table. "Miranda is gonna kill you when she wakes up." "I'm leaving before she wakes up." "This is stupid! It's probably bull!" He shouts. "I can assure you it isn't bull. I have my notes but I doubt a hick like you will be able to figure them out." Eugene says. "What did you just say to me?" Daryl growls grabbing his shirt and throwing him against the wall. Abraham throws him off instantly. "We better move. The sooner we leave, the sooner we get to D.C. and the sooner this apocalypse will be over. "Merle, don't do this! Stay with us! With your family!" Daryl cries. I can't. Glenn pulls his hat down on his head. "Come on, let's go." He says. I nod and set the map down. It has our route mapped out. I wave to Daryl. "Take care of our sister and keep an eye on that cowboy. Lord knows she can't live without him." He sighs. "You're really doing this?" I nod. "You're the big brother now." I hug him and we leave.

Jason's pov

I forgot where I was. We found that prison and I'm starving. I get up being careful not to wake her. "Where are those new guys?" I ask, opening a can of beans. Daryl is watching for walkers. "They're gone. They left for D.C." Why does he sound so bummed about it? "What's wrong?" I ask. "Merle and Glenn went with them." Whoa! I'm utterly shocked. He just left! What about her? She's gonna flip when she finds out! I'm about to run to tell her when I step on a map. The trail is marked out from Georgia to D.C. The map! I pick it up. There's something else written on it. I open it up wider to read it. It's in Merle's handwriting. "Sorry I was such an asshole. Come to D.C. The new world is gonna need Jason Aldean. I drop it in surprise. Just then Maggie and Amy walk out. "We finally got Hershel stable." Amy says. Oh man, I completely forgot about him. "That's great." I say, shakily. How am I gonna break it to her that Merle is gone?

Sorry it's so short
