Jason's pov

"The chances of her being alive are 1 in a million. Did you see all that blood?!" Merle gapes as I use my pocket knife to carve more arrows. "Maybe so but we thought the same thing about you and we didn't stop looking for you." I say, pointing the arrow at him. "Jason's right. We looked for you. We should look for the kid too." T-Dog says. "I say we organize a search party. Carol, Daryl, and Merle, take to the east. Me and Miranda will move north. Dale, Hershel, and Maggie go west. And Michonne, Amy, and T-Dog you guys hit south." I instruct. "We'll find her. She's alive. I can feel it in my gut." "Let's move out!" Daryl says, picking up his crossbow. I take my bow and arrows and sling them on my back. "Let's go honey." I say, holding her hand. We all seperate. "Do you really think we can find her?" She asks. "I know she's alive. But I don't know if we'll find her, all I know is I won't give up." I respond tonelessly. We've been walking for a while. She leans against a tree to rest. Suddenly a decaying arm is around her chest and she screams. I load an arrow and shoot the monster dead. She runs away from the tree into my arms breathing heavily. "It's okay. It didn't bite you." I say, staring terrified at the walker slumped over the tree. I'm getting hungry. "We should set up camp and I'll try to hunt for something." She nods and sits down. I stare at her sadly then climb a tree to look for deer or squirrel. I have my sights set on a squirrel in the opposite tree when I hear her scream, instantly my face breaks out in a cold sweat. Fear making it hard to breathe. I slide down the tree and feel a gun on the back of my neck. "Shit." I mutter. "Lower the bow." He says. It's the governor. "You better do it or that girlfriend of yours is gonna have one hell of a headache. I hear the groan of a walker. My eyes go wide. The guy near her has a walker on a chain. I drop the bow. "I thought I told you never to come near me again." I gripe. He laughs. I don't want her to see this other side of me. "What do you want?" "I have what you want!" He says, resting a hand on my shoulder. I clench my fists trying to fight the urge to knock this guy out. "Sophia!" She gasps. "That's right." Governor says. The rage boils over and I kick the governor's legs out from under him. "I thought I made it pretty darn clear, not to mess with me!" I growl, the switchblade to his throat. She screams again and I spin around throwing the knife. It lands in the walker's head with ease.

Miranda's pov

I hear my heart in my ears. Sophia runs to me and I hold her tight. I hear a choking sound and turn around. Jason's on his knees with a knife in his side! No! He chokes on blood and hits the ground hard. "No! Jason!" I cry, running to him. He grits his teeth in pain as he grips his side. He reaches for his bow but the governor kicks it away and Jason falls unconscious.

Jason's pov

I wake up, my side throbbing. What do we do now?! I try to sit up but she makes me stay laying down. "We have to escape." I say. "We can't. Not with your side like that." She says, moving my hair out of my face. She's got blood on her hands. "W-Who's blood is that?" "Yours." I sit up through the intense pain. "Where's Sophia?" "She's sleeping. I don't know what we're gonna do come nightfall when everyone is supposed to meet back up at camp." She says. I grit my teeth in pain, trying to fight off the nausea.

Daryl's pov

Night has fallen and we haven't found anything. Everyone has reached camp except Jason and Miranda. "Oh crap! What if something happened to her?!" Merle cries. "What about him?" Carol asks. "I don't give a shit about him." He gripes. I smirk. "They're probably just getting down and dirty in the woods." I say. Merle's face gets red. I laugh. "I don't think so. It just doesn't feel right." Hershel says, following a trail. We follow him and come across ripped up grass, blood and Jason's bow and arrows. "Something happened to them!" I cry. Carol shakily walks over and picks up Sophia's doll. "Th-They found Sophia." She whimpers.

Jason's pov

Sophia is the only one small enough to fit through the break in the fence. I pick the lock on her handcuffs. "Now get back to camp. Your ma will be really glad that you're okay." I say. She nods. "I'll make sure we come back for you." She says. "No, it's too dangerous. We'll escape on our own." I quickly tell her before pushing her through the tiny opening. "How's your side?" She asks. "I'm fine." I mutter. The stupid governor walks over. "What do you want!?" I growl. He kicks me where he stabbed me, making me double over and my vision to go hazy. "Motherfucker!" I shout. He brings a sword down towards her! "No!" I yell, blocking it with the handcuffs, holding it in place, my hands shaking. Someone yanks me back, making me not be able to move. He raises the sword again. "No! Get away from her!!" She cowers on the ground, her hands blocking her head, her whole body shaking. "Baby, you're stronger than this! You can take him!" I cry, hopefully. The guy holding me back digs his finger in my wound making me scream. "Fight him! I know you have it in you!" I strain to say, the pain unbearable. She opens her eyes to rage filled slits. She stands up as he brings the sword down. She catches it in her hand. It cuts her hand but she's able to twist it from his grasp. She screams and stabs him in the stomach! I stare at her shocked. And I thought I don't want her seeing the bad side of me! I'm beyond shocked. She yanks the sword out of him and he coughs and chokes. She stabs him again. "Baby, we don't kill the living!" I gasp, trying to stand up. She turns around her stare hard. "Correction we didn't kill the living until the living started killing us." She says, using the sword to rip the handcuffs. Her legs are shaking. I catch her before she collapses. "I knew you could be tough." She looks up at me with a forced smile. The sword falling from her hands. I kick the hole in the fence bigger and we stumble out leaving the governor bleeding on the ground. I shoot off several rounds from my gun and we hide. The walkers start coming and I hear the terrified screams of the governor. "Come on. We gotta go." I say. She nods, shakily gripping my hand. "You're okay?" She asks. My side is killing me but I don't let up. "I'm fine baby, let's get back to camp." I say, kissing her. We take off for the camp. Around midmorning, we reach it where I can barely stand with my side bleeding. Daryl sits up. "Holy fuck!" He gapes. "Whoa!" Michonne says, walking over. Merle comes out of his tent. "Welcome back bro." He says, helping me sit down. "Whoa! I thought you hated me!" I gape. He sighs and opens a first aid kit. "My sister's alive thanks to you. Let's just let bygones be bygones." He says, shocking me. I smile. "Thanks man." I say. Hershel walks over and stitches my side. "You ain't gonna get in my business with her anymore?" I ask. He shakes his head and hands me my bow. Finally, I'm accepted.
