Miranda's pov

What is going on with everyone? They're all quiet for some reason which is weird. Maybe there's a herd nearby. I'll just keep quiet too I guess. I look around, but don't hear anything. I'm so confused. Hershel walks over. "Finally someone is talking to me!" I gripe. "Yeah, Jason wants you to meet him for a supply run." He says. "Ok, thanks." I mumble. I'm gonna talk to Daryl first. I wanna find out what the hell is going on! "Hey Daryl what's with everyone being so quiet and weird? I don't get it." "Nothing." He mutters, poking the fire. I sigh. I'm not gonna get nothing out of him. I head out for the supply run. My hands stuffed in my pockets. "Have you noticed anything odd with the group?" I ask him. "The only thing I've noticed is your idiot brother has stopped messing with me." He says, smirking. "Yeah. But why? Merle is not the type of guy to just give up." I mumble, thinking. He stops walking. "Did you hear that?" He whispers. I freeze. "Hear what?" I whimper terrified. "I don't know. It feels like we're being followed." He says, looking around, his bow raised. I'm shaking. He holds my hand and we continue walking. "It's okay. I'm ready for whatever comes our way. I'm not making that mistake again." He says. He's probably talking about his family. "The one thing I hate about this world is kids growing up too soon with no childhoods. Ya know?" I say. He nods. "What do you miss?" "Showers." He grumbles. I try not to laugh. "And a warm bed." "I feel the same way!" I gasp. We finally reach what once was a town.

Jason's pov

Why do I have this bad feeling in my gut. Like someone is tracking my every move. It's really worrying me. Once we've gotten everything we need, we head back toward camp. "Where are you two going?" "I knew someone was trailing us!" She's completely frozen to the spot. "I guess you know this guy?" "The g-governor." The guy she warned us about back at my farm. Back at the farm. Everything fell apart after I left. Dad got bit. Then we got swamped. Dammit. Nothing goes right in this world. I turn around. He's got an eye patch. "We don't belong to your group." She says. "You do now." He says. "Fuck that!" I gripe, raising my bow. He just laughs and crosses his arms. She grabs my arm. "Run!" We run away. But people block our path. "Dammit." She whispers. "What do we do?" "There's nothing you can do!" Governor says with a laugh. Then something hits me hard in the back of the head and everything fades to black. The last thing I hear is her screaming.

Miranda's pov

"Jason! Wake up!" I cry falling beside him. I'm cornered by the governor and his people. "Daryl! Merle!" I scream as loudly as I possibly can.

Daryl's pov

What was that? I coulda sworn I heard someone scream. I poke at the fire some more. "HELP!" I jump up. That sounded like.... I run to the rv and turn the ignition. "Whoa! Daryl what are you doing?!" Michonne shouts. Before I can even reply, she takes the keys out. "Merle! Hurry up! Miranda's in trouble." "How do you know?" "I just know!" He sighs and follows me as we go in the direction of the voice. "No! Let me go!" She hollers through gritted teeth, the governor's hands clamped on her arms and her feet dug in the dirt. Merle sucks in a breath. I run into the clearing baring my crossbow. "Get your damn hands off my sister!" I scream. He doesn't let go of her though so I load an arrow. I'm about to let it rip when they have a gun pointed at Jason. I don't really care about him but she does. "Please! Get away. Don't hurt him!" She screams, sobbing. All I can do is lower my weapon. "What do you want?" He smiles. "I just want the residents of Woodbury to come back home." He says. "We aren't residents anymore! Let go of me!" She cries, struggling against him. "Take their weapons." He orders, shoving her to the ground and holding her down as he searches her. They take my bow too. Merle reluctantly hands over his knives and gun. They take Jason's bow too. He's knocked out cold. "Jason, wake up!" She whimpers, shaking him. "Oh man, what hit me?" He gapes, blinking several times. He pulls her from the governor's grasp. "Touch her again and I'll make sure the dead ain't what you see in your nightmares." He growls furious. He stands up, keeping her behind him. He really does care about her. "I said keep your hands off her!" He screams, turning around. I look at Merle and he's standing there shocked.

Jason's pov

I've gotta get her outta this mess. "When I say run, take off for the woods as fast as you possibly can." I whisper. "I can't leave you!" She whimpers, gripping my hand tightly."It's not a request, it's an order. I'll come find you when I'm dome now go!" I say, pushing her out of the group. She stands there, tears on her cheeks. "Run baby, I promise I'll find you!" Someone grabs at her but I trip him and he falls in the dirt. I keep him pinned down with my boot. "Run! Now!" Finally she takes off. "After her!" The governor says. "In your dreams!" I gripe, punching the nearest guy about to chase after her.

Merle's pov

He single handedly lays them all flat. The governor backs up shocked and runs away. "Oh fuck this. You ain't gettin' away that easy!" He growls, grabbing his jacket. "If I see your face anywhere near my girlfriend again, I'll kill you. I won't hesitate and I won't stop until you're stone cold dead! Got it!?" He screams, slamming him against a tree. The governor nods and Jason throws him to the ground. "Now git outta here!" He kicks him and he runs away. "Damn Jason, that was incredible!" Daryl gapes. He fixes his hat. "I learned everything I needed to know from John Cougar, John Deere, and John 3:16." He says. "Nobody touches my girl and gets away with it." He turns around quickly. "I gotta go find her!" He runs into the woods and I retrieve all of our weapons. "What's going through your head Merle?" Daryl asks. I sigh. "I-I was wrong about that guy." I mumble, looking at my stump of a hand. "I gotta hand it to ya, we were both wrong." Daryl says, smirking. I glare at him. "I'm really getting tired of the hand jokes Daryl." I grumble. He laughs. "Come on let's go find the two lovebirds before things get intimate." He says. "They better not get intimate." I grumble, walking through the woods, looking for them. "They're okay." I hear him whisper. "I can't take it anymore!" She cries. "Nothing's gonna hurt you long as I'm around. I won't let it." He assures her. Me and Daryl watch from behind a tree. We had her hidden from this stuff for too long. Now she can't handle it. "Baby, please don't cry. It's gonna be okay. I'll keep ya safe. Those knucklehead brothers of yours will make sure of it." He jokes. It annoys me but it makes her laugh. "I do trust you, 100%." She whispers, kissing him. I grip the tree hard. "Merle, don't you dare." Daryl hisses. "I won't but if he moves onto more....." My voice trails off. "We should probably get back to camp." He says, reluctantly. But she grabs his hands. "Wait, we still have time." She whispers. He smiles and holds her tight. He kisses her again, pushing her up against a tree. "This has to stop!" I gasp, about to reveal myself. "Merle, don't act like you don't miss it." Daryl whispers. I sigh and nod. "Let's go back to camp." He says.

Jason's pov

She goes to lay down in the rv when we get back to camp. I sit by the fire with Merle, Daryl, and Carol. "What you did today-" Merle starts. "I never want her to see that side of me." I say, quickly. "Not that." He says, "Although that was pretty badass." What's he talking about. "After you found her..." "Crap, you guys saw that!" He nods. Totally embarassing! "I told you not to do that!" "And I told you to stay out of our business!" "Jason, it's just for safety reasons. You wouldn't wanna bring another baby into this world, do you?" Daryl says, more sympathetically. "I guess not, but-" "But nothin', don't do it!" He says. "Just cause we're in an apocalypse doesn't mean I'm gonna stop living life. It's a normal part of life!" "Hey look around, this isn't normal life!" Merle yells. "No shit! But we gotta have some sense of normalcy! Wait a minute.... You guys are just jealous! Ha that's what this really is about. You're jealous that I'm getting some action and you ain't!" I say, laughing. "We aren't jealous!" Daryl shouts. "That's just weird!" Merle adds. Oh yeah, she is their sister. "I could have a girl if I wanted to." Daryl adds. He walks over to Carol and kisses her hard. She fights to get away and Merle is laughing hysterically. "Hey let go of her. She obviously doesn't want you to do that!" I gasp. She punches him in the gut and walks away to her tent. "You are an idiot." I state, shaking my head. We hear a scream from Carol's tent and we rush over there. "Sophia is gone!!" She screeches. There's blood all over the floor of the tent.
