Love Made Me Crazy

The very next morning, Taylor woke up to the soft buzz of her phone on the nightstand. She blinked, rubbing her eyes, and reached for it. As soon as she saw the name flashing across the screen, her heart did a little flip.

Travis: Good morning, beautiful.

That single message was enough to make her smile. Noticing that he called her "beautiful," it sent a rush of warmth through her. Even though they had confessed their feelings for each other, they hadn't crossed the line yet, and moments like these were all the sweeter for it.

Taylor: You know this isn't helping with the whole "rules" thing, right?

There was a pause before his response.

Travis: But this isn't really breaking them, is it?

Taylor chuckled, shaking her head.

Taylor: Congratulations, Mr. Kelce. You've officially found the loophole.

Travis: What can I say? I'm a man of many talents.

She laughed softly, the sound of his playful words echoing in her head. Even with the boundaries they had set in place, their connection was only growing stronger, like an unspoken promise lingering between them.

That day, when Travis entered, he wore a mischievous grin. "Hey, Dr. McPretty," he drawled, leaning against the doorframe like he owned the place.

Taylor rolled her eyes, but she couldn't hide her smile. "Seriously? That's the best you've got?" she teased, shaking her head as she tried not to laugh.

Travis just shrugged, a smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth. It was like he knew exactly how to get under her skin—in the best way.

As she started guiding him through his exercises, she struggled to keep her focus. Travis kept sneaking glances at her, holding eye contact just a second too long, his gaze warm and playful. Each time she tried to give him a stern look, he'd flash a grin or a raised eyebrow, daring her to stay serious.

Finally, Taylor laughed, breaking the tension. "Do you really want to mess with the person who's in charge of your recovery, Mr. Kelce?"

He grinned even wider. "You've already messed with my heart, Doc. What can I do?"

She shook her head, but her smile betrayed her. This man, she thought. Absolutely incorrigible.

A few days later, Taylor was standing in the room, skimming through some patient charts when Travis walked in. He brushed past her, lightly bumping her shoulder in a way that felt almost intentional.

Taylor raised an eyebrow and gave him a mock-annoyed look. "Watch where you're going, Kelce."

He feigned innocence, placing a hand over his heart. "Can't help it, Dr. Gorgeous. Your magnetic field's a little too strong."

They both broke into laughter, and Taylor just shook her head with an exasperated smile. There was no taming this man, she thought, secretly loving every second of his attention.

Later that week, Taylor was exhausted. The hospital had been particularly hectic, and balancing all her responsibilities with Travis's session had left her feeling drained. But somehow, seeing him was still the best part of her day, even if it took everything out of her.
