The days following Taylor's breakdown were some of the best and most peaceful they'd shared together. Their sessions, once marked by tension and frustration, had become filled with lightness and laughter. Travis found himself looking forward to seeing Taylor every day—not just for the therapy, but for the simple joy of being in her presence. There was something about her that made everything easier.
One day, as they wrapped up another session, Travis grinned mischievously. "Hey, you know what? I've got the best news ever."
Taylor raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh? Spill it."
"I'm gonna be an uncle again," Travis said, beaming as he pulled her into a hug. "Kylie's pregnant."
"Oh my God, Travis! That's amazing!" Taylor squealed, pulling back to look at him, her eyes shining with excitement. "I'm so happy for you. I'll have to text her and Jason after this. How exciting!"
They shared a few more moments of celebration before heading to the bridge for some fresh air. It had become their routine—a way to unwind after their sessions, to talk about life beyond the hospital.

"You know," Taylor said as they walked, "I grew up on a Christmas tree farm back in Pennsylvania."
Travis looked at her, surprised. "A Christmas tree farm? That sounds... magical."
Taylor laughed softly. "It was. Some of my best memories are from that farm. It's where I fell in love with Christmas. My family... we have so many memories there."
"So why did you leave?" Travis asked, his tone gentle.
"My dad got a job offer, and we had to move," Taylor explained, her smile fading slightly. "It was the right decision, but... I still miss it sometimes."
Travis nodded thoughtfully. "Sounds like it was a real home."
"It was," she said quietly. "But... things change. You move forward."

Taylor was focused on Travis's leg, guiding him through a series of gentle stretches when he suddenly broke the silence.
"You know..." Travis said, a mischievous grin forming, "me and Jase got kicked out of pre-school."
Taylor's head snapped up, her face lighting up with shock and amusement. "Wait, what? Seriously? Kicked out of pre-school?" She raised an eyebrow, trying to imagine what could possibly get two toddlers expelled. "What did you do, set the playground on fire?"
Travis laughed, shaking his head. "No, no fires. But it was... spork-related."
Taylor let out a surprised chuckle. "A spork? Oh, I need to hear this."
Travis shrugged, the memory clearly still making him a bit shy. "Well, Jase and this other kid were... um... stabbing each other with sporks during lunch. Things got a little heated, and Jason hit the kid hard enough that his dad showed up the next day and demanded he be kicked out."
Taylor blinked, then burst into laughter. "No way! Spork duels in pre-school? That's legendary! I bet the teachers were freaking out."
Travis grinned. "Oh yeah, they were. It was chaos."
Taylor, still giggling, looked at him with playful suspicion. "Okay, so Jason was out for spork combat. But what about you? What got you kicked out?"
Travis shifted slightly, a sheepish look crossing his face. "Well, I might've been involved in a little... checkers drama."
