On Saturday, Harper and Ivy talked and worked for hours. Something else had happened that day too; Harper was finally real friends with Ivy, though it took some convincing.

Harper, being the nice friend she was, was walking Ivy back to her house, even though Ivy didn't want her to.

"You live so close to me, that's cool, haha.." Harper smiled, and Ivy nodded.

"Yeah.. Oh, look, my house is right here.. Nice seeing you, Harper. You're not as bad as I thought." Ivy mumbled, knowing she was being cheesy. She dashed inside, not wanting Harper to see inside, in case her dad was flipping out about something, which he was when he saw his daughter.

Harper huffed, waited a moment, and then walked back home. She was happy that Ivy was finally speaking to her, but she was also confused on why Ivy suddenly opened up, and why she ran inside so quick.

Meanwhile, Ivy walked into the house and saw her dad.

"Where were you? I literally called you like ten times." Ben said, scoffing.

"Dad, I told you, I was working on a project with.. With some girl I got paired up with." Ivy shrugged, hoping to avoid argument.

"And what's her name?"

"Harper.." Ivy said.

Ben glared at her. "You were with her for hours, were her parents even home?"

"Er- yeah." Ivy lied through her teeth.

"Who are her parents?" Ben questioned again.

"I think their names are um.. N-Nick and Charlie or something.."

Ben's head immediately snapped to stare at Ivy. "What?" Ben said, in shock.

Ivy nodded, slightly confused.

"Her parents are Nick and Charlie?" Ben snarled softly.

"Yeah.. Why? Do you know them or something?" Ivy asked.

"No more seeing that fucking girl. Ever. I mean it." Ben said, standing up.

"Wha- why?" Ivy said.

"Nothing that concerns you. But you are not seeing Harper any more, understood?" Ben snapped, and Ivy could only nod in response.

Ivy walked up to her room, slouching her shoulders as she wondered what could possibly be going on with her dad and Harper's dads. If Ben had told Ivy to stay away from Harper three days ago, Ivy would have gladly accepted, but now she felt a strange connection to keep seeing Harper.
