Harper quietly got ready for..whatever they were going to do. Nick and Charlie walked through the front door. Thank fuck they weren't there for that argument. Harper hadn't fought like that with Oscar in a while, possibly ever. She had never seen her brother..Snap quite like that; but maybe he was right, maybe Harper was a really shitty sister. She thought on that; she was pretty shitty sometimes. If she were Ossy, she'd probably hate herself as a sister too. Harper slowly put on mascara, wondering if Ossy's girlfriend was actually pregnant. What if she was? Harper would be an aunt, at fucking 15. Regardless, she finished getting ready and then went downstairs to wait, which she didn't have to do at all really.
"Let's go." Oscar mumbled, walking outside to the car.
"Why so grumpy?" Nick asked. "We're excited to meet your girlfriend, you know."
Oscar just nodded and replied with a simple "I know."
Harper stayed silent the entire ride. She felt bad, just for existing in general at the moment. Not long after the family arrived at a black castle. Well, it was a house (allegedly), but it looked like some old witch's home you'd see in a movie. In all honesty, Harper thought the house looked pretty badass, but what if Acacia was some sort of witch? That was freaky. But, what if she was a witch? Harper was always interested in witchcraft, though she kept that fact solely to herself and herself only.
"Heh." Oscar chuckled awkwardly. "This..Um, this is her house. She knows we're here." He added, quickly sprinting up to the front gate. He was about to knock, but the door was already opened by Acacia, dressed in a short black dress and dark tights.
"Ossy!" She smiled, giving him a brief hug before her eyes landed on the shorter human, Harper. "You must be Harper. Your brother told me about you! All good things." She said, her voice trailing off at the end when her parents emerged from behind her.
Her father had light brown skin, while her mother was paler. Acacia's dad looked to be somewhat Spanish like Charlie's father.
"Ahh! Hola, Hola!" Acacia's dad smiled. (The Spanish confirmed Harper's theory.) He had thick wrinkles on his forehead, so Nick assumed the man was much older than him, or maybe Nick was just aging well.
"You said he speaks some Espanol, no?" Acacia's father asked, eyeing Oscar.
Acacia nodded. "A little bit, but don't pressure him-"
"I'm Carmen." The older man said, going to shake everyone's hand. "You are the sister, si?" He asked when he was greeting Harper.
"Yeah, I'm Harper.."
Carmen nodded and turned to Nick and Charlie. "You are..? Where is the mother?"
Acacia stared at her boyfriend and mouthed an 'oh shit' to him. "Dad.." She mumble, but Nick spoke before she could finish.
"This is my husband, actually.." Nick smiled. He always feared the reactions of people deep down, but he said this too many a time to not know the drill.
"Oh!" Carmen exclaimed, then he smiled. "That is wonderful! Welcome, welcome. Come in, vamos." He said, letting the family inside the home. "This is my wife, Elena."
"Hola." Elena smiled warmly. She had a subtle English accent, which must have been where Acacia got her's from.
Acacia led Ossy to the kitchen. "Dinner's ready, so..sit and enjoy, I suppose."
Oscar of course sat next to his girlfriend, and Harper took a seat next to Nick and across from her brother.
"So, Charlie." Carmen said as he sat down. "Are you Spanish?"
