It was a chill afternoon after school. Itsuki was hanging out with Desmond in the cafeteria. "I'm telling ya mate, I have no idea how to be romantic... I just wanna ask her out on a romantic dinner... But I can't speak to her! She's too cool, too pretty, too popular. I know we're like childhood friends, but we haven't talked in like an eternity so no idea if she'll even remember me at all.." Itsuki complained. Desmond drunk his coffee and listened. This hadn't been the first time Itsuki had complained to him about Lila. He was madly into her but she had no clue because he was constantly avoiding her. In Desmond's eyes a hopeless situation.

In his eyes romantic only had important advantages. He himself would only ever marry someone for his own use. He didn't understand how it could be difficult for someone to just tell the other their feelings. He sighed. "You gotta just tell her. I'm getting sick of this talk about her. If you are scared of her, I would suggest you drop the idea of a long lasting relationship." Desmond groaned. Itsuki was visibly hurt.

"I'm sorry... I just don't know what to do or who to talk to about it. I just... Do you have any other ideas on how I could tell her...?" Itsuki carefully asked. "Well, I could just tell her. I don't get embarrassed seeing a girl like you. Seriously dude, grow up." Desmond teased to which Itsuki threw his donut package at him. "Hey, that was mean! But I gues that could work. Can you tell her before school ends tomorrow? Would that be possible? I will order a table for tomorrow evening at a fancy restaurant! Oh no... What does she like?" Itsuki panicked.

"Choose a sushi restaurant! Don't know anyone who doesn't like sushi." Desmond suggested adding sugar to his coffee. "Alright! Thanks bud." Itsuki thanked smiling. After that Itsuki went into his dorm and Desmond into his house. Lydia was there examining Jette's blood samples of the day.

"Hey Des! How's it going?" She asked happy to see him. "Pretty alright. Itsuki wants to ask good old Lila out, but he wants me to do it for him." He rolled his eyes. "Lydia, you're a girl. How would a girl want someone to ask them out?" He wondered putting on his lab coat.

"Well, I don't think much of romantic things... They're icky. If you'd ask me, I'd say just keep that shit away from me. All I want is our success." She replied leaning onto his shoulder with an arm. "Good thing to have you as a partner in crime then, Lydia. I feel the exact same way to be honest. But Itsuki's a valuable connection I don't want to lose. I have to complete this task for him." Desmond explained firmly.

Lydia nodded. "I know. Having one of the chosen ones as friends is rather valuable in our case. Hm. I'd think, it'd be nice if you just tell her she has a secret date waiting for her at the location Itsuki wants to go and she will be too curious not to go! I think that might work." Lydia recommended going back to examining the blood samples.

"Thanks, Lydia. I'll try that." Desmond replied while getting to work helping with the studies about Jette.

The next school day Desmond watched Lila closely. He studied her behavior as well the times where she was alone. In the lunch break, there seemed to be no disturbances and so he went over to her.

"Hey Lila! Still remember me? It's me Desmond. We were at the orphanage together." He reminded her. "Oh I remember, you were that weird kid who used to stay in corners when the others talked! Long time no see, it's a big school, haha." Lila remarked still seeming happy about seeing an old 'friend' again.

"I know right, haha." He imitated her way of speaking. "I just wanted to inform you, a friend of mine has planned a really cool dinner for you. Would be a bummer not to go. It's at Theater street, no. 8. The asia restaurant, if you've heard of it." He explained.

Lila tilted her head. "A dinner? For me? That's nice. Well if you're friend wants me there so desperately, why should I refuse. Alright, I'll come." She  decided smiling. Desmond stood up and waved before making his way to Itsuki again.

"Hey bud, mission completed. She seems very happy to come. I'd suggest you pay for the food later. Probably makes you more popular." Desmond told him. "Thanks Des! You're the best. I'm really glad we're still friends!" Itsuki said, embracing him. Desmond didn't like the embrace at all, but his connection to Itsuki was too valuable for him so he had to just let himself be hugged.

"Hey what are friends for right?" He smiled. "Good luck tonight." Desmond added before leaving.
