Since that day, Viktoria had a home and only visited sometimes. Kate missed her a lot. She thought about her everyday, hoping she was finally happy. That was what she wished every child here. Only one person seemed delighted about Viktoria's absence: the 6 year old Rachel.

It was January by now. The new year did not seem that good already though. Lydia couldn't even stand to look at her sister. She hated the mere thought of her being a powerful being that rules while Lydia herself is just a weak human. That caused her to get angry at absolutely everything her sister did. That caused many fights.

"Erika, can't you stop being such a crybaby and go into the forest with me and William? You're annoying." Lydia growled. "I'm sorry... I'm just a little scared of some places since, you know, the Viktoria incident..." Erika tried to explain but before she could even finish, Lydia had already grabbed her hand and was dragging her along.

"Lydia, I just told you I was too scared to go! Go alone!" Yelled Erika. "Oh." Lydia let go of her and got up close to her. "But you're strong enough to rule half the earth then?!!" She shouted. "I didn't choose that-" Erika started but was interrupted by Lydia. "You have everything I've ever wanted and now you wanna tell me you don't want it?!! Of course you do! You're a terrible sister! I hope you're happy." Lydia snarled and ran away.

She ran into the basement and found a door there which she had never seen before. She went inside and found a big lab. It seemed as it was just recently used. Suddenly Desmond appeared behind her. "Well, well, well. Looks who's sneaking around down here." He chuckled.

"Desmond what's this?" Lydia questioned. He laughed. "A plan. A plan that will destroy those 5 pests." Lydia gasped but she seemed excited to know about this evil plan of his. After all Desmond was a genius in science. "Can you... Tell me about it?" She carefully asked.

"...so that's basically it. But we need more people for it. What do you think?" Desmond asked finishing his explanation. "I'm so tired of them. I'm in, Desmond." They shook hands.

Lydia was only the best one in math so when she was bored she looked through Desmond's calculations. She noticed that he calculated wrong sometimes so she corrected it. Since they're handwriting was different, Desmond quickly noticed.

"Why did you change my calculations?" He wondered. "You miscalculated alot, Des. If you want your plan to be successful, you're gonna need to calculate correctly." She remarked. "Good thing I got you into that group of mine then." He laughed. It seemed genuine. Lydia had never seen him been this geniune before so she laughed along with him.

Later the day, Desmond went around the orphanage and looked for children that were naive enough to manipulate into joining his group and had a grudge against the 5 like him too when he suddenly saw a little girl, who he hadn't talked to before, with the same black stripes as he and Lydia had. He hurried to her.

"Hello, little one." Desmond greeted her, putting on his fake smile while feeling uncomfortable of addressing her like that. Rachel looked up at him and when she saw his stripes she was surprised. "You're like me!" She happily exclaimed. Desmond's smile went geniune again at her innocent reaction. "Yeah..." He replied and suggested to sit somewhere else where no one could hear them to talk with her about the marks.

"They describe that you're jealous, the marks. Jealous of someone that you would do anything to get what they got. Is that a good description of your feelings?" He asked making sure to explain it as slowly and calmly as possible because he didn't know if that 6 year old would be afraid of him if he was more direct.

Rachel nodded hugging her legs with her arms. "I love someone. She's an amazing person and I care about her alot. But there's that other person who she loves more. That person may not be here at the orphanage anymore but the one I hold dear always speaks about missing her. I can't stand it." The thought of it alone seemed to make her marks grow so Desmond quickly stopped her. "Hey, hey, calm down. We don't want everyone to know you're jealous. I understand what you mean though. It's Kate, isn't it?" Desmond questioned to which Rachel just nodded.

"Well then. I have a plan that can eliminate that person you want to disappear forever. What do you think? Do you want to join my group to fulfill your goals?" He asked putting on a smiling facade that was so deceiving that the little 6 year old fell for it.

And as naive as she was, she agreed without further questioning.
