Chapter 23 (1): Double Date

Viktoria got up to go to go to her dorm's bathroom to wash her face. Her dreams about her mother were getting to her more than she likes to admit. She tried to focus her thoughts on something else. She should be with her father. Richard was a good man, he didn't take any care of himself at all, mostly just invested into his research and isolating himself inside his room. She shared a dorm with Kate even though she wouldn't have to stay in one like Kate, she likes to stay around her often.

Viktoria looked at the clock. It was 5 am, only 2 more hours before school starts. She could use those hours to study rather than sleep again and have more dreams about her past life.  She turned on her desk light and began studying for the subject she was the worst in: Geography.

Soon Kate started to stir and eventually got up. She was surprised that Viktoria was already up so early. "Hey dear, you're up early. Are you that afraid of the geography test?" She teased. Viktoria let out a chuckle in reply. "No, not at all... Just had a bad dream, that's all..." She said getting lost into Kate's eyes. Kate stood up and went to their closet. "I washed your school uniform." She informed her dear roommate. "Oh Kate you don't have to do that!" "Yes I do! Anything for you, my love." She smiled and held Viktoria's hand. Their relationship was a healthy one...

They went to their lessons together, spent the breaks together as well and helped each other with their homework after school too.

This afternoon Kate was shopping for snacks because her and Vik wanted to do a TV evening in one of the common rooms of the school who had a TV. When she payed for the snacks, the cashier handed her a coupon for a fancy restaurant. A coupon for a double date. You would get 80% off the price when you come with 3 more people, aka. a date for you and two friends that are also dating. Kate's eyes lit up, what a wonderful reason to take Viktoria on a date, she thought.

They enjoyed their TV evening and when the movie they were watching was over, Kate pulled out the coupon. "Hey hunny, I got this when shopping for snacks today. It's a coupon for a double date. I wanted to ask if you wanna use this coupon this friday, we could ask one of the other couples at the school if they want to come as well." Kate suggested. Viktoria's eyes lit up. Kate was asking her on a date, a fancy date at a fancy restaurant. This day couldn't get any better. She quickly nodded. "Yes ot course! I'd love to go on a date with you, my sweet."

At school the next day, Kate made it her mission to find a couple to come along. She imidiantly thought of Itsuki and Lila, after all they were the most famous couple so she went to ask them. "Hey Lila, Itsuki, I have this coupon for a date on friday. I wanted to ask if you two wanted to come too? It's for two couples!"  Kate asked. Lila groaned. "Man, I'd love to come but I have my first lesson in the karate club. I really want to go. Sorry Kate..." Lila apologized. "And I'm not going without her." Itsuki stated. "It's alright." Kate sighed. This was going to be a harder search than she thought.

She searched all around school but didn't seem to find another couple. Everyone was either friends or had no time on that friday. Kate groaned and sat down on a stone bench in the school's garden. That's when she heard two girls laughing and seemingly hiding behind some bushes. Kate walked up to them. It was Helena and Constance. They imidiantly got scared when Kate saw them.

"What are you two doing here?" Kate asked the two flustered girls. "We were trying to have a date. The other guys in our class keep mocking us for being flirty with each other, so we decided to hide here." Constance explained hugging her legs. Helena held her hand gently. "I'm sorry the others are mean." Kate stated sitting down next to them. "I might have an idea how you can still have your date!" Kate exclaimed proudly. The girls looked excited. "What is it?" Helena asked hopeful. "I got a coupon for a double date in a fancy restaurant. Me and Viktoria wanted to go but I couldn't find any couple free on Friday until now." Kate explained.

"We have time, right Constance?" Helena asked stroking Constance's cheek. "Yeah! In fact I don't have any bonus courses on friday so you picked a good date." Constance replied happily. Kate was relieved, her date was happening after all. "Good then! Let's meet on Friday 5 pm and then go there, it's in the city next to Fortress Aegis so we might have to walk a little bit." Kate said standing up. "That's quite alright! We'll do that! See you Kate!" Helena said and waved as Kate walked back inside the school to tell Viktoria.

Soon the day of their date arrived. Viktoria was getting ready and put on her most beautiful dress for Kate and even tried to put on some make up. When she got out of the bathroom Kate looked stunned and hugged her. "You look so beautiful, oh my god, I love you." Kate exclaimed ecstatically. Viktoria couldn't help but smile in adoration. She loved Kate so much. She would never be able to love someone like her.

They made their way to the school's gate and met Helena and Constance there. "You two look amazing!" Constance imidiantly praised them. "Not as pretty as my lovely girlfriend but still very beautiful." She added and chuckled. Helena embraced her. "Thank you so much for inviting us! I can't believe me and my Constance will have a fancy date, I'm very excited!" Helena thanked them bowing a bit. "I have to thank you! If you hadn't come, we wouldn't be able to go to the date at all." Kate stated and bowed a bit as well.

Then they started making their way to the next city near Fortress Aegis: Darkstett. The weather was still a bit cold. It was only early spring after all, but the four girls didn't care. They were with their loved one going to a fancy date and planned on enjoying every single minute of it. Nothing was going to interrupt this magical evening.
