Max was taken into his room and asked, "Who's staying with us?"
"Some famous dancer that Alastor knew before his death." Husk explains as he places him on the bed.
"Can I meet her?" Max asked excitedly.
"Not till Charlie is comfortable with it. And we are not sure Mimzy is trustworthy yet knowing about you being mortal. So I'm afraid you need to stay in here till Charlie calls you."
"Can I have some milk and cookies while I wait?" Max asked.
"Sure kid. I'll be right back." Husk says as he leaves the bedroom.
Max decided to lie down on his bed as he was a little bored. He looked at his alarm clock and noticed that it was 9:30, close to his bedtime anyway. However, he was a little afraid of sleeping by himself due to his nightmares and his PTSD trauma. He doesn't want to remember the moment of his mother Judy being brutally stabbed by Royce, or seeing Judy haunting him.
He takes a deep breath, as he changes into his pajamas, and heads to bed. Husk comes back a few minutes later with some milk and cookies and sees Max asleep already. Husk quietly placed them on the nightstand, and slowly left the room.
Meanwhile...
Alastor escorts Mimzy to an available room to settle down for the night.
"So Alastor, I heard that Charlie adopted a sinned child." Mimzy says as she starts unpacking her suitcase.
"Max? He's a great kid lad to care for. She loves him dearly." Alastor says as he looks at the mirror while straightening out his suit.
"I do want to meet him, and pinch his cheeks, he looks sweet in the newspaper." Mimzy teases.
"He is, but he's asleep since he goes to bed at this time, and Charlie is very protective of the lad. If Charlie is okay with trusting you, then you can meet Max. Alastor explains with a smile.
"Why? Is he not a sinner or something?" Mimzy jokes.
Alastor smiled wider, and said, "Um, no. It's just that she is very motherly protective since it's her first child after all."
"Oh, motherly instincts I should say." Mimzy says as she lies down on her bed.
"Enjoy your stay Mimzy." Alastor says with a smirk before leaving the room.
"See you later, honey." She says as she decided to catch some sleep for the night.
As time passed, it was late-night, and everyone was asleep in their beds. Max struggles as he tosses, and turns in his sleep since he was having his usual nightmares from his trauma.
In his nightmare, he was in his house as he kept seeing Royce brutally stabbing his mother Judy repeatedly.
He attempts to intervene to make him stop. The scenery changes and he is in darkness. Max sees blood, and body parts everywhere in the room.
"Please stop! Please stop!" Max shouted as he covered his eyes.
"Stop? You saw how I died, Max." Judy says as she appears in front of him.
Max was terrified as he saw her standing with fifty stab wounds all over her chest, and waist.
"See these wounds son? These stab wounds represent how many times you betrayed me. You never came to save me, and let my boyfriend stab me to death." Judy says while angered.
"I'm sorry, I don't know what to do." Max says as he starts crying.
"Quit being ungrateful you little shit!" Judy shouted as she smacked him hard.
