Chapter 42

"Max!" Charlie says with worry as she tries to get through the force field aggressively.

"I hope you are ready to die for real!" Royce says as he comes at Max fast.

Max immediately dodged fast as he tried to keep focus. Royce pulls out a flaming sword and attempts to swing at him aggressively. Max dodged a few times until Royce swept his legs and made him fall. He rolled away fast before Royce attempted to stab him while he was down.

Max finds an opening and kicks Royce in the face hard. He fell to the side, but got up fast and left hooks Max.

He painfully fell on his side as he tried to recover from the blow.

"Not so tough are you?" Royce asked as he kicked him on the side very hard.

"Agh!" Max screamed in agony as he tried to get up and fight.

Charlie couldn't stand watching him getting beaten down as she tried to push through the force field.

"I should've killed you too, when I had the chance!" Royce said as he attempted to stab Max with his sword.

Max thought fast as he kicked Royce in the groin hard that made him lose his balance and drop his sword. Max stood back up and jumped on him and started ground pounding Royce in the face repeatedly as his face started to bleed.

Meanwhile...

Charlie stayed persistent as she and Vaggie tried to break through the force field with their powers.

"We're coming Max!" Charlie panicked as she started to crack the force field.

"Come on everyone!" Renamon shouted as she started to use her powers as well.

I then joined as I started swinging my Gamerknight sword on the force field as well. Just then, Lucifer, Sera, Emily, and everyone combined their powers on the force field to weaken it to save Max.

Max did all he could as he fought Royce to the end, but it was a losing fight. Royce had the upper hand as he grabbed his arm and punched Max hard in the face that his nose bled.

"You fucking little punk!" Royce shouted as he threw him into the hard concrete floor that badly knocked the wind out of him and cracked a couple of his ribs.

Max barely sobbed a little by the pain he endured, and tried to get up.

"Not enough huh?" Royce says as he walked to him and picked him by the neck.

Max didn't hesitate as he spit in his face, and tried to hit him while struggling.

Royce wiped the bloody spit off his face and punched Max very hard in the face that caused him to get a black eye. Max was completely exhausted and severely injured that he couldn't fight anymore, but still tried to struggle.

Royce tightens his grip around Max's neck to strangle him. Max struggled as he couldn't breathe and tried anything to fight for his life. He started to lose his vision as he started to go unconscious. Could this be the end? Was it over for Max?

Just then...

Charlie attacked Royce from behind and made him let go of Max's throat. Max started coughing violently as he tried to breathe while barely conscious.

"You fucking bitch!" Royce says as he attempts to attack Charlie.

"You will be punished for what you did to that innocent child!" Charlie shouted as he fully went to her full demon form and charged at him.
