Charlie's anxiety rashes at high levels as Adam and Lute were at her doorstep. She nervously smiled as she tried to stay calm.
"Can I help you?" She nervously asked.
"We have been hearing rumors from a lot of sinners here that you have a child now. However, there is a suspicion that you are possibly harboring a mortal child here." Adam explains.
"A mortal here? Ha! Don't be ridiculous. Max is a sinner that needs a home." Charlie explains with a nervous smile as she tries to stay calm.
"Really? Well, he had a report about a mortal child that unexpectedly spawned here a while ago, and Sera wants us to investigate anyway. You haven't seen a male child that is only two, and a half feet tall? With brown hair, and that he is only five or six years old, have you?" Lute asked.
"No, we haven't, but if we found an innocent mortal wandering around here. I will let you know, now have a good day." Charlie says as she was about to close the door.
However, Adam kept her from closing it, and spoke, "Charlie, Charlie, Charlie. You don't understand how serious this is. A child that is in a dangerous place with murderers, psychopaths, and pedos that live here. A child's life is at stake here, and his life is in your hands."
"I'm aware of that, I swear to you that we will find that child you are looking for." Charlie lies as she tries to keep her smile.
"Then, you don't mind if we inspect the place then." Lute says as she pushes her out of the way, and barges through the front door.
Alastor notices the situation, and intervenes.
"Adam, Lute. You don't need to shove the princess around like that. What can we do for you?" He asked with a creepy smile.
"Don't act innocent. We know you have a mortal child living here, and he could be that sinner child she adopted." Adam explains while quoting the last part of his sentence.
"Max is a sinner while Charlie brought him here. No need to make serious accusations like that." Alastor explains.
"If you feel so confident then let us see Max then." Lute suggests.
"Alright. Let me go get him real quick. May take a few minutes." Alastor says as he heads up stairs real quick.
Charlie stayed calm as she was so uncomfortable with Adam ,and Lute waited for Alastor to come back down with Max.
Niffty was very aggravated that she wanted to do something hasty to them, but Husk tries to keep her calm.
"How long does it have to take ?" Adam asked as he was very impatient.
"He will come." Charlie says.
After a couple of minutes, Alastor, and Vaggie come down the steps with Max in his disguise.
Max was very uneasy with the situation since he doesn't want to be taken away from his new family. Vaggie quietly instructed him to stay calm, and stay quiet while she tries to explain to them.
Max nodded as he followed them to the living room.
"Well, what do we have here? You do fit the description. Where were you before the princess found you?" Adam asks Max.
Max was about to answer, but Vaggie kept him quiet, and answered for him.
"We adopted him from the orphanage in the city. We have the papers that it's official." Vaggie answers.
"Let me see the papers then." Adam asks suspiciously.
Charlie gives them the adoption forms, and he looks at them closely and was hoping that they were forged, but they were official.
