Chapter 38

   We all ran into the front lobby in panic as Renamon shouted for Charlie's help.

"Charlie! Vaggie! Come quick!" She shouted.

"What happened?!" Vaggie asked while shocked to see Heather in critical condition.

"We were able to save Heather, but things got fucking worse on Earth!" Blitzo explains.

"What's going on?" Max asked as he unexpectedly walked in.

"Max. Max. Things are not a good time right now. I need you to stay in your room until I say so." Charlie says as she immediately escorts him back upstairs as she didn't want him to be mentally scarred by the situation.

"Is that the stripper's kid?" I asked Renamon.

"Yes. That's Max, and he's still alive all this time. I'll explain more to you later, Stan."

"Stan?" Charlie asked as she was familiar with me.

   We all immediately took Heather to an available guest room and laid her on the bed. Charlie used her magic to look through her injuries.

"She is really beaten and tortured. Vaggie and I will take care of it from here. Everyone else leave the room please." Charlie says as she escorts us out before locking the door.

"Well, things went to shit." Blitzo spoke.

   Renamon sighed in distraught before heading to her hotel room to calm down after the horrible experience we endured.

"Really sir?" Moxxie asked Blitzo while annoyed before he and Millie walked away.

"What did I say?" He asked.

"It wasn't a good time to say words like that." I spoke before I went to the living room.

Later...

   As everyone was waiting for Charlie and Vaggie to come back after treating Heather back to stable health, Renamon was on edge hoping she survives as her guilt gets to her for not saving her earlier.

"I have news everyone. Our new friend Heather is stable, but due to her injuries, it will be a long recovery though." Charlie speaks.

Renamon was relieved.

"Renamon, what happened while you were on Earth?" Vaggie asked.

"It's a long story. But I'll tell you." She says.

   She explained to everyone about the situation that Royce took over Lubbock Texas, and ruling over it.

"That's not good. How can a human-demon hybrid have that power to do that?" Angel Dust asked.

"I'm not sure. My dad doesn't have a record of registration in Hell at all when I asked him earlier." Charlie says.

"Whatever Royce is, he needs to be killed. I bet Heaven is not happy about what's going on right now on Earth." Husk says.

"We will figure something out. And we do have a new human guest, but where did he go?" Charlie asked while looking for me.

"Stan is outside gathering his thoughts as his hometown is taken over." Millie says.

"Just curious, Do you know Stan before? You did mention that he was familiar to you." Husk asked.

"Yes. I knew him when he was eight years old. It was 10 years ago when he fell into a portal that was accidentally left open." Charlie says as she gives Blitzo a look.
