Max tried to stay awake as we desperately waited for class to be over while Ms.Mayberry was reading a story to everyone.

"And so the Imp was able to make a cake in time for his mother." She spoke before closing the book.
Some of the children instantly woke up from their sleep by the sound of the book closing hard.
"Now I hope you remember the story since we are going to take a test tomorrow for it." Ms Mayberry says before the bell rings.
All the students grabbed their things and immediately left the classroom in excitement. Max immediately collected his things and put them in his backpack and was about to leave.
"Hang on Max. You know you have to stay for at least for an hour for extra tutoring on your reading since you are struggling."Ms.Mayberry says as grabs his hand and gently sits him back down to his desk."
"But today is a special day for me." Max says.
"If you participate in this reading assignment. The faster you will leave. Charlie did agree that I can keep you for an extra hour every school day to make sure to get your reading skills improved." Ms Mayberry explains as she gave him an easy book to read.
"This book is pretty easy for you. Read it, but don't rush to read it. Take your time. After that, you fill out this reading log of what you read." She added.
"Okay." Max says as he starts reading.
"Good." Ms. Mayberry says as she sits back at her desk and starts lighting a cigarette.
Meanwhile at the hotel, Charlie and everyone was getting Max's birthday surprise party ready since today is his 7th birthday. Charlie was excited for the celebration and wanted to make sure everything was going to plan.
"Is the cake ready?" Vaggie asked while helping Renamon put up the decorations.
"Stan and Loona are helping Bee decorating it. Stan told me it will be done in ten minutes." Renamon spoke as she climbed down the ladder.
"Good. We have an hour till Max gets out of school. So make sure we don't lollygag. This is a special day for him." Vaggie says.
"Everything is fine. Everything is almost done anyway." Angel says while finishing setting up the table."
"The cake is ready!" Loona spoke as she placed it on the table.
"Great. There is still room for improvement." Charlie says while looking through her list.
"No need to overdo it." Cherri says while setting up the snack tables.
"This is a special birthday that Max deserves since he never had an experience with his last 6 birthdays. Of course I want to make sure he's overjoyed for this." Charlie says.
"You spoil him too much. I can see it." Husk says in a joking way.
"I do not. I want to make him happy." Charlie spoke.
"Sounds like you are spoiling him." Angel says in a teasing way.
"Stop Angel. There's nothing wrong with that." Renamon spoke.
"I didn't say it was wrong." Angel spoke.
Later...
After Max finished with his after school tutoring, Max sees Blitzo's van driving up to the side of the road.
"Hey Kiddo." Loona says as she opens the door for him to get in.
"Hey Loona." Max says happily as she gives her a hug before buckling up.
"How was school?" Millie asked.
"Kinda boring." Max spoke.
"I don't blame you. School is always boring." Loona says.
Blitzo immediately drives the van back to the hotel.
Loona immediately texted Charlie that they picked up Max, and everyone was ready to surprise Max.
"He's coming, everyone!" Charlie says excitedly.
"I got the lights." Renamon says as she turns off the lights.
We all waited, as we heard Max opening the front door.
He was clueless as he wondered why all the lights were off as he walked inside.
"Surprise!" Everyone shouted after Renamon turned on the lights.
"You guys do remember!" Max says happily while really surprised.
"Of course we do! You thought we would forget your special day?" Loona says with a smirk.
"I don't know. I didn't want to believe that." Max says.
"Happy 7th birthday!" Octavia says as she puts a party hat on for him.
"I hope you have room for chocolate cake, Max." Bee says as she lights the candle on the cake.
"Always!" Max says excitedly.
Everyone gathered around the dining room table and they sang happy birthday to him.
"Make a wish Max." Charlie says excitedly.
His wish that his new family would always be around happily forever before blowing out the candles.
During the day, he had a great birthday and was happy that he has Charlie and Vaggie as his new mothers that do anything for him to have a better life. Have friends that adore him, and have a huge family in The Hazbin Hotel. He is the prince of hell after all.
