The two of them were sitting at the table but neither Rehaan nor Shahwar were there. The breakfast was also missing from the table. And five minutes later Isabel came and told them that the chef and kitchen workers had been asked to not disturb them by Rehaan.
Azfar cleared his throat two times and Iraj passed him a sharp glare, "What?"
"Rehaan has grown quite wild, don't you think?" He clicked his tongue and Iraj gasped.
"Shut up Azfar! He's, he's not, I'll just go and see, I know he's not like that." She stood up with her nose flared and then she remembered her brother and sister in law and their never ending physical proximity and how at times she'd have to hide from them feeling shy.
"What's wrong? Why aren't you going there to prove me wrong?" Azfar was igniting a war, Iraj gritted her teeth and huffed out loud before stomping towards the kitchen. Azfar followed behind with a chuckle.
Both stood shocked at the sight in front of them, Dur e Shahwar was dawdling sideways with a big smile as Rehaan prestigious Kazmi was icing chocolate brownies on the kitchen counter. "How much more time?" Shahwar clapped excitedly not noticing the pair watching them with keen eyes.
"Almost done jaan, but don't rush, we'll sit at the table and then eat, I'm sure Azfar and Iraj must be waiting too." He too had not felt their presence at the end corner of the kitchen.
"I can take one in my hand and you can carry the rest." She hopped behind him and held his arm.
Iraj gave a side eye to her husband indicating that how wrong he had been about her brother who according to her was the best husband in the world, though deep down she knew what Azfar had commented could be a big possibility as well, but she was lucky today.
"Rehaan bhai, will I get some too?" Iraj stepped inside.
"Iraj! He makes the best ones! The best ones! He made for all of us!" Shahwar turned with a big smile towards her with joy sparkling in her eyes.
"You both alright?" Rehaan said in a serious tone gesturing at Azfar and her.
"We were but now we're too stunned, never knew Rehaan Kazmi could do this as well." Azfar remarked in a friendly voice.
Rehaan turned with the brownies in a huge tray holding them with his brows raised, "Shut up." He walked with the two ladies out of the kitchen with special attention at his wife who had been jumping with enthusiasm.
"Dono bhai behen ek jese hain." Azfar muttered to himself as he was left behind alone in the kitchen.
(Both siblings are just the same.)
He too then went back to the dining and joined them. The complete breakfast was brought in by the houseworkers soon after a few minutes. Shahwar kept on stuffing more and more brownies in her mouth with impatience and Rehaan kept shaking his head at her lightly without saying anything. Iraj grabbed a piece as well and started to munch one after the other, "They are good." She seemed happy and Azfar smiled looking at his wife.
