"You're home?" Azfar had just entered the bedroom after coming back from work and saw Iraj sitting on the bed with her legs folded using her phone. Usually at this time she would be with Mehran for her work meetings, and most of Azfar's dinners were spent by himself at home as she'd eat out with him.

She looked up with a frown, "Yes, why? You don't want me to be here?"

"No jaan. Aisay kyun bol rahi ho, I'm the happiest when I see you." Taking off his blazer he walked towards her and touched her head with love.

(Why are you saying like that,)

"Hm." Her eyes went back to her phone screen.

"You had dinner?"  Removing his cuffs he folded the sleeves of his shirt.

"Hm." Her response made it obvious that she didn't want to talk to him.

Giving her some space he went inside the bathroom to shower and change. Getting into much comfortable clothes he came out in his sweatshirt and shorts. He went downstairs for dinner and came back to the room where she was already now lying with her eyes closed and her back towards his side of the bed.

He went to bed and then turned to her staring at her back, "Iraj."

"Hm." She kept lying in the same way but now Azfar had gotten confirmation that she was still awake.

Placing his hands on her shoulder and back he turned her to face him gently, "Mera din bohat acha guzra aaj. Tum office roz ajaya karo na please." Brushing his knuckles on her cheeks he smiled at the memorable day when she had finally visited his office today, he was indeed very happy today.

(My day went really well today. Can you visit the office everyday please.)

"Mujhe shauq nahi hai roz roz daant khanay ka." Her brows furrowed as she mumbled with a pout on her face.

(It's not my hobby to get scolded everyday.)

"Kisi ki itni himmat meri jaan ko kuch kahay." Pushing hair strands behind her ear he narrowed his eyes.

(Can anyone dare to say a word to my love?)

"Haan kisi ki nahi siwaye apkay." She looked at him stating it without any hesitation.

(Yes no one except for you.)

He was taken aback, he couldn't recall when he had scolded her today, clearly not understanding what day she was referring to, "Mene kab daanta?"

(When did I scold you?)

"Haan. Daanta nahi. Cheekha. Chilaya. Bezzati ki." A sad smile grew on her face.

(Yes. Didn't scold. Yelled. Shouted. Insulted.)

He realized what she was talking about, "Maaf kardo na mujhe. Please. Please meri jaan." He suddenly felt pressure on his chest now remembering her loud cries in the vacant room from that day.
