"Iraj, isn't that Azfar bhai?" Hamna squinted her eyes at someone in the background of where Iraj was sitting.

Her phone almost slipped from her hands hearing what her friend had said, "Azfar? Where?" She turned her head almost about to face Azfar when Hamna called her again making her sit straight.

"No, no, no. Don't turn around right now. He's sitting with someone. Then he'll know we are looking at him." She made a funny face at Iraj shaking her head.

"Someone? Who?" She had just spoken to him over the phone before she and Hamna had entered the restaurant, he had told her only about going for a meeting.

"Some woman." Hamna told her.

"Woman?" Her mood shifted at once and she started to feel that everything in her life was useless. She thought why couldn't he just tell her honestly if he was meeting a woman, a friend or anyone, why did he have to lie?

"Yeah must be a friend, what if he feels awkward because of us?" Hamna pulled her out of her thoughts but wasn't very successful as Iraj had let her mind transcend elsewhere.

"Awkward?" She shook her head, "He's such a liar. I hate him."

"Kyun ab kya hogaya?" Hamna had never heard Iraj say those words about her husband, even when she was ever angry at him in past she'd only complain saying he never listened to her but nothing else.

(Why what happened now?)

"He said he was going for a meeting to me when he called me ten minutes ago. Now I know what meeting he was talking about." Iraj didn't want to have lunch anymore, she started to pick her purse and phone in her hand.

Hamna was trying to tilt her head to survey the woman who was seated with Azfar to confirm Iraj's doubts not noticing that she was now standing. "But Iraj, she doesn't seem like—and Azfar bhai isn't like that, you know that better than anyone."

"I don't want to eat, Hamna, I'm leaving, sorry I just want to be alone for some time." She told her friend. Azfar had no clue about her being there as her back was facing him.

"Ir—Iraj n-no, no, listen to me—"

"Take care, bye." She walked out of there and went home directly.

It was evening when Azfar returned home and went to the bedroom immediately when Hafsa told him that Iraj was in her room.

"Jaan, I've confirmed the tickets, the flight—" He stopped speaking when he found Iraj holding a pillow to her chest and crying silently, "Wha—what happened, what's wrong?"

When she didn't answer he bent down to her face level and held her face in his hands, "What happened Iraj? Tell me, why are you in this condition?"

"Jaan, kuch bolo na, kya hua hai? Did something happen?" Her quietness was worrying him.
