"Baba." Her voice was not even a whisper as she turned to look at her husband behind her with eyes that screamed of being betrayed by him.
His jaw clenched as he gulped with fear trying to not think of what would his wife do now, "Iraj, jaan—"
"You, you, broke your promise." Iraj was shivering, she knew that if both her parents were now standing there, they now knew exactly everything that had happened. And being at a place that her husband owned, in a foreign country, there was no other possibility but of him being the one to tell her parents about it.
"Iraj—" Azfar was as shaken up as she was. Though she had no idea about it.
"You broke me again." She didn't want to turn her face towards her parents.
"Nahi, nahi." Azfar spoke with a staggering voice and fear.
(No, no.)
Her eyes were only at Azfar's face, she had been trying so hard to forget her previous hurt since the few days he had brought her there and now it all seemed like a big mistake to her. "Mene, mene aap se sirf ek hi cheez toh maangi—thi."
(I had only asked you for one thing.)
"Jaan, tumhe aisa—"
(My love, what you—)
"Mien apko kabhi nahi dekhna chahti Azfar." She turned around to run past her parents outside, and was soon out somewhere between the patch of trees that surrounded the area.
(I never want to see you Azfar.)
Back inside the house Azfar was left with Siraj and Sabeen, who were standing there not speaking till Siraj decided to go out to see his daughter but Azfar called him, "Aap kyun aye hain yahan?"
(Why have you come here?)
He turned back to look at him, "Shouldn't I be the one to ask? Kyun nahi bataya mujhe Azfar aap ne! How could you keep this from me!"
(Why didn't you tell me Azfar!)
"Meri biwi nahi chahti thi, toh nahi bataya. Woh jo chahay gi mien wohi karunga. Hamesha. Phir agar iss baat ki wajah se apko kuch bura bhi lagay, mujhe parwah nahi. Mere liye meri biwi se ziada koi eham nahi." Azfar tried to speak with much self-control even though his mind was only focused on Iraj.
(My wife didn't want to, so I didn't tell you. Whatever she will want I will only do that. And if that might become a reason for you to feel upset with me, then I don't care about it. For me nothing is more important than my wife.)
