With the second year drawing to a close, the school held counseling sessions to discuss our future aspirations and career paths. I was scheduled for my session, and as I walked out, I saw Ayanokoji nearby.

Curious, I asked, “So, Ayanokoji, have you thought about what you’ll do after graduation?”

He paused, considering it. “Honestly, I’m not sure yet,” he admitted.

I grinned, trying to lighten the mood. “Well, I might start my own company. Go big, you know, aim to reach the top of the industry.”

He nodded, something sparking in his usually calm gaze. “Interesting. I was thinking that might be a good idea as well.”

I raised a brow, a bit surprised but pleased. “Then how about this—if we both end up with companies, we could consider a partnership someday?”

“Sounds like a plan,” he replied, extending his hand. We shook on it, a shared promise for the future.

During my counseling session with Chabashira-sensei, I shared my ambitions. She listened, her usual stern expression softening ever so slightly. “Your and Ayanokoji's goals are admirable. If you stay focused, I believe you can achieve them,” she said.

I thanked her and, on my way out, found Ayanokoji waiting. We walked together, casually chatting. But then, a serious thought crossed my mind, and I lowered my voice, leaning closer.

“Ayanokoji,” I whispered, “I think I have an idea of who the traitor in our class might be.” I whispered the name softly into his ear, and he didn’t react outwardly, just nodded, his expression neutral.

A month passed, and graduation day arrived for the third-year students. The school grounds were filled with farewells, laughter, and some tears as the upperclassmen began to leave.

Kiruin and Asahina approached Ayanokoji and me with warm smiles. Asahina, who’d always been kind and cheerful, pulled me into a hug. “You two take care of yourselves. We’ll miss you,” she said being emotional.

“We will,” I replied, feeling a bittersweet pang at seeing them go.

Nagumo also approached us, his usually serious demeanor softened slightly. “Good job this year,” he acknowledged, extending his hand to us. “Keep working hard and make sure you both graduate from Class A like me.”

We shook his hand, exchanging mutual wishes for success. Watching him leave, along with the others, marked a significant moment. It was a reminder that our turn would soon come.

Not long after, the school announced our second-year final exam. Chabashira-sensei gathered our class, her tone direct yet motivating.

“This will be the toughest exam you’ve faced so far,” she declared, her gaze sweeping over us. “But if you give it your all, Class B has a real shot at surpassing Class A.”

The class buzzed with excitement and determination as we absorbed her words. Our points weren’t far behind Class A’s, and this was our chance to finally overtake them. All eyes were set on the goal of becoming Class A, and the energy was contagious. With that thought burning in our minds, we prepared ourselves for the challenges ahead, knowing this was more than just an exam—it was our chance to redefine ourselves.
