Murder Drones: Interstellar Annihilation (Previously Insanity)

-Part 11-

The pod stood tall, seemingly ready for takeoff. Uzi looked at N and V, then at the sky, at the moon, and at the stars. She then turned around, and took in the sight of Copper - 9, a sight she might not see for a long time, and possibly forever. The atmosphere was silent, eventually interrupted by V.

S.D V: "When will they come here?" She asked, turning her head towards Uzi, who at this point, was in her own world, staring off into the distance. "Hey." She snapped her fingers.

Uzi: "..Oh-" She shook her head, snapping back into reality. "I don't know.. probably a few minutes."

S.D N: "This is nerve racking.." He sighed, tugging on his collar. "It's all happening so fast-!"

Uzi: "Don't chicken out-"

The three now heard the faint crunch of snow coming their way, and soon enough, the outline of four drones appeared, approaching.

Thad: "Sorry we took so long-!" He called out.

Uzi: "It's alright! Come on over here quick, we have to talk about this fast."

Thad nodded. 

Thad: "..C'mon guys, run over." He, and Doll, Khan and Lizzy ran over to the trio.

Khan: "..So Uzi, what is it?" He stopped now, adjusting his helmet.

Lizzy: "It better be quick." She groaned, clearly bored.

Doll remained silent, awaiting for Uzi to speak.

Uzi: "Look.. besides the whole, goodbye thing, I want you guys to just listen to me carefully."

Doll: [RUS] "Go on." 

Uzi: "I really just wanted to be more specific about what I wanted you four to do.. to be honest, 

N." She snapped her fingers. "Get the whiteboard."

S.D N: "Sure-!" He nodded and saluted, running into the pod. After around five seconds, he returned with a moderately sized whiteboard.

Thad: "..Why do you have that-?"

Uzi: "Just for this to be honest.." She pulled a whiteboard pen out of her pocket. "I'll leave it behind." Uzi now began drawing four figures on the whiteboard. "So these are you."

Lizzy: "..Where's my ponytail-?"

Uzi: "..They're no..- never mind.." She sighed, shaking her head. "What I want you four to do, is when I give you the signal via my phone or something.. I want you to search Copper - 9 for any labs, outposts, really anything JcJenson related you can find, and send me any important information you can, alright?"

Khan: "..Sure-! Of course." He nodded.

Doll: [RUS] "..How exciting." She said, with a bored, tired voice. It seemed genuine though.

S.D V: "..Is.. she okay-?" She pointed to Doll.

Lizzy: "..Yeah don't worry, she's always like this."

V shrugged.

S.D V: "Alright then."

Uzi: "..N you take over now."

S.D N: "..Sure-!" He walked over to the board and took the pen. "You can also really bring whoever you like! It doesn't matter, and.. ehh.." He thought for a moment. "What was I supposed to say again." He mumbled. "Oh yeah-! Find me some biscuits!"

Uzi: "..No dummy-" She sighed, a smirk forming on her face. "You also have to tell me the location of these outposts, so that once I return, if I do.." When she said this, Khan grimaced. "Are you okay?"

Khan: "..I'm fine!" He said, smiling forcefully.

Uzi: "..So that once I return.. I can explore them."

Thad: "Sure-! Sounds good to me."

Uzi: "..Well then, wish me luck, c'mon guys." She signaled N and V to enter the pod. They nodded following her in, however before Uzi closed the door, she waved to the four. "Bye!" They all waved, Uzi shut the door. 

Uzi: "Where are the keys-?"

S.D N: "Over here." He replied, tossing them over to Uzi, she caught them.

Uzi: "..Alright.. V? How are the systems looking?"

S.D V: "Good." She nodded. "Want me to count down?"

Uzi placed the key in the ignition. 

S.D N: "Can I do it-?"

S.D V: "Fine." She shrugged.

N now began counting down from ten.

S.D N: "Three.. two.. one.. liftoff-!"

Uzi twisted the keys, causing the engine to make faint grumbling noise. Nothing happened.

S.D N: "..I said.. Lifto-" N was caught off guard as the Pod now began moving up, the engines working. He fell over, holding onto the panel. "Ouch-"

The pod slammed through the tip of the spire, escaping it's grasp. Uzi giggled.

Uzi: "..IT'S WORKING-! YES!"

V just sat in the chair, unamused, but slightly happy.

S.D N: "..C'mon V, lighten up-"

S.D V: "I don't wanna." She crossed her arms.

S.D N: "..Alright then-"

Uzi quickly rushed over to the panel, sitting herself down in front of it. She accessed the pod's camera system, and took a look.

Uzi: "..We.. we're actually doing it-!" She said, ecstatically.

N sat next to her. 

S.D N: "..I'm proud of us."

S.D V: "..Hey, you two." She snapped her fingers, causing them to focus their attention onto her. "Don't let you guard down, okay? We have no idea what might happen now that we've left Copper -9."

Uzi: "I suppose you're right." She nodded, calming down slightly. Uzi now looked back at the screen, noticing something. "..We're in orbit.. okay." She sighed, relaxing in her chair. "Now we wait."

On the ground, Thad, Doll, Khan and Lizzy just stared up into the sky.

Lizzy: "..Alright, can't see it anymore.. what now?"

Doll: [RUS] "I suppose we return to the colony, and prepare for the expeditions."

Thad: "Good idea." Thad nodded, as he began to walk, Doll and Lizzy following him. He stopped for a moment, now looking back at Khan, who was still staring up into the sky. "Mr. Doorman- Are you alright?"

Khan: "..I'm fine, Thad.. just.." He hesitated. "Just worried.. now let's get back to the colony, he looked away from the sky, and began following Thad. The spire fell apart slightly, still having it's base, but loosing much of it's top, the bodies slamming into the cold, snowy ground.
