Tessa sat at her desk, occupied with some work. Her office was quiet, her sword hung above her. She put the pen down and looked to the side, looking at a picture of her, N, V, and J during her time in the mansion. Part of the photo was cut out, seemingly removing one person from it. She stared at that cutout, and simply put the photo face down on her desk, and picked up the pen, continuing to write. A couple hours have passed, and Tessa was in her car, driving it along a empty, seemingly deserted highway. Soon, she reached a mansion, presumably hers. She walked up to the door, and reached for her keys, taking them out, and twisting the lock, opening the door. Tessa entered, walking through the maze like hallways of the building, until she eventually reached a room, entering it. It was her bed room, which was large, luxurious, and expensive. On the wall was a large collection of guns and swords, a case protecting them. She now walked over to a cabinet and put a code into the lock, causing it to open. She now took out a piece of paper, and began to examine it. Suddenly, the door opened, it was J.
Tessa: "J-?" She said, startled, quickly putting the paper down. "What are you doing here?"
S.D J: "Well I was given some time off, so I thought I'd just come back home.. is that a problem?"
Tessa: "Of course not!" She shook her head, smiling. "It's no problem at all."
J glanced at the paper.
S.D J: "What're you reading?"
Tessa took the paper, walking over.
Tessa: "Just.." She paused. "Reading some records.."
S.D J: "About.."
Tessa: "Cyn, yes." She now grabbed another paper. "I've collected at least fifty two copies of records from the year we think Cyn was created, I just want to see why she was disposed of."
S.D J: "She was defective, that's it."
Tessa: "Yes but.. she turned into a whole monster thing, didn't she? I want to look into that."
S.D J: "What if it isn't due to a defect during her creation?"
Tessa: "What do you mean?"
S.D J: "As in like.." She paused for a moment, thinking. "An external factor."
Tessa: "Huh.. never thought of that, well, once I'm done looking through this, I'll look into that."
S.D J: "Great.." She nodded, sighing. "So I heard the cruiser has set off, how long has it been?"
Tessa: "Like.. a week and a half so far, needs around five days to get there." She fiddled with her hair. "They managed to track the pod apparently, they say they'll meet above another one of our mining planets, Copper - 7."
S.D J: "I see.. and once they shoot them out of the sky, what happens?"
Tessa: "We never make these journeys, so they're landing on Copper - 8 and refueling for around a couple days, then they just set off for Copper - 9."
S.D J: "I see.." She nodded. "Well then.. wanna go get a snack?"
Tessa: "Sure!" She nodded as well, smiling. The two now exited the room, shutting the door behind him.
A sighed, walking over to E on the observation deck.
S.D A: "E." He began, his voice cold, monotone, and robotic. "The issues with our ammunition sto-" He stop talking, his voice cutting off, he slapped himself. "There we are."
S.D E: "You ought to change your voice box, A, it is getting quite dysfunctional.
S.D A: "I disagree. As I was saying, the issues with our ammunition stores has concluded, all of the weapons currently aboard are operational, we are ready to blast Copper - 9 to hell after the fuel stop."
S.D E: "Very good!" He smiled, nodding. "We should have really done this sooner."
S.D A: "Indeed, however, we should take into consideration the fact that this trip is expensive, captain."
S.D E: "We are the same rank, are we not?"
S.D A: "This is your vessel."
S.D E: "Very well." He chuckled, stroking his mustache.
S.D A: "Copper - 7 has cleared us for the pitstop as well, we can land as soon as we blast their ship out of the sky."
S.D E: "Very good.. and I have some fighters ready as well."
S.D A: "Excellent."
As they looked on through the glass of the observation room, a drone walked in, a disassembly unit.
S.D W: "Sir.." He said in a calm, cool tone, he seemed to be high. He wore a trucker cap, had no facial hair, short black hair, and a hoodie on.
S.D E: "Yes W..?" He said, turning over.
S.D W: "We need your help in like.. storage closet five."
S.D E: "What happened?"
S.D W: "Ohh.. well.." He thought for a moment, god he was high. "I forgot, they just needed you."
S.D E: "Fine.. fi-"
S.D A: "I will go, continue your duties, E." He now walked out of the room, following W.
S.D E: "Alright." He nodded, turning back to the glass.
A followed W into the storage closet, W pointed at two disassembly units, both of them surrounding something.
S.D W: "Hey! H!" He called out.
A disassembly drone with long greyish hair, and a black sweater turned over.
S.D H: "You brought someone- great.."
S.D A: "What is the issue."
S.D G: "Well." He adjusted his sunglasses. "We noticed something off in here." He wore what seemed to just be a summer outfit. "An item."
S.D A: "Move aside." He walked over and picked whatever this thing was.
S.D H: "What is it?" She asked, curious.
A observed it, squinting his eyes.
S.D A: "A symbol of sorts I believe, not one of ours, that's for sure.. where did you get the box this was in?" The symbol had a hexagon in the middle of it, with three arrow like extensions coming out of it.
S.D W: "Well.. back at the hanger we sort of accidentally maybe packed a box we got from, Copper - 9 a while back.."
S.D A: "A classified one?"
S.D G: "I believe so.."
S.D A: "And how?"
S.D W: "I did it."
S.D H: "Mhm.. W did do it."
S.D A: "Then it makes sense, you are an idiot." He threw the symbol back in the box. "Take it to one of our scientists, they will observe it."
H nodded.
S.D H: "C'mon you two.." The three left, followed by A leaving as well, shrouding the room in an eerie, and deep darkness.
