Murder Drones: Interstellar Annihilation (Previously Insanity)

-Part 18-

Fire, scrap, and fallen trees were scattered around the crash site, Uzi at the center of it all. She slowly awoke, her eyes slowly opening, her body sore. She groaned once she woke up, clearly in pain, and clearly afraid. She looked around, left, right, up, and down, before breaking the silence. To her left, was her railgun and the pistols, still in good condition, however the case it was in was gone, possibly destroyed. She picked them both up, and now broke the silence.

Uzi: "N..?" She said desperately. "Where are you..?" She continued to look around. Eventually, she found him, still on the ground, and still unconscious. She crawled over and slapped him, causing a throbber to appear on his visor, and eventually, he woke up as well.

S.D N: "Euugh.." He groaned. "What.. happened?"

Uzi: "We crashed.." 

S.D N: "Where's V?"

Uzi: "I don't know.." Uzi now stood up, however struggled to balance. She helped N onto his feet, and the two now began searching for V. After ten minutes of searching, they found her body, which was unconscious as well. N picked her up, and with Uzi, made it out of the burning crash site. They set V down, slapping her, which also caused a reboot. V asked the same question of N, Uzi responding with the same answer. The three now began to walk away from the site, the fire blazing behind them in the cold, dark night.

S.D N: "Where are we headed?"

Uzi: "The nearest settlement." 

N nodded.

S.D V: "And where might that be?"

Uzi: "I don't know- We just have to look."

S.D V: "Well we have to hurry up, me and N need oil, y'know."

Uzi: "I know.. I know." She sighed, the three pressed on. This planet wasn't like Copper - 9, the green fields and forests, and the tall mountains weren't entirely covered with snow. The weather was nice, somewhat warm, however not too hot.

S.D N: "This is Copper - 7 right..?"

Uzi nodded.

S.D N: "It's.. amazing-"

Uzi: "It really is." She smiled, looking around.

A nearby bush rustled, Uzi turned her head.

Uzi: "Hm-?" She pointed her pistol at the bush. "Who's there?"

Suddenly, a creature jumped out of the bush, being rather small, it looked like a rabbit.

S.D N: "Awhh-!" He said excitedly, running over and petting the rabbit. "It's so cute!"

S.D V: "N.. focus, please, we might die out here!"

N sighed, and nodded.

S.D N: "Sorry..-"

S.D V: "It's.. fine, I'm sorry for lashing out on you-" She sighed.

The rabbit jumped back into the bush, they all continued to traverse the planet. Soon, they all were sitting down, each on a log. 

S.D V: "Hey.. look at this!" She rummaged through the snow and pulled out some scrap metal, it appeared to be a worker's arm. "Found this!" She now broke it in half and poured the oil into her mouth. "Want some N?"

N nodded.

S.D N: "Sure!" He took the other half from V, and drank the oil.

Uzi: "I'm glad you two are enjoying yourselves." She smiled, looking up at the sky. She spotted something. "What is.." Uzi froze.

S.D N: "What's wrong Uzi-?" He threw the arm away.

Uzi: "Look up-"

N and V did as they were told, and froze as well. They saw the ship, the exact one that shot them out of the sky.

S.D V: "Is that..?"

Uzi: "Yeah-" Uzi's smile grew bigger.

S.D N: "Why are you smiling-?"

Uzi: "We could follow it! It could take us to a settlement!"

S.D V: "Then what..?"

Uzi: "Well, it's clearly landing, isn't it?"

S.D N: "Mhm.." N nodded, confused. 

Uzi: "Well we secretly board it.. and blow it up!"

S.D V: "What-"

S.D N: "How would we even do that?"

Uzi: "Well we get to it's engine room, destroy it, and take either a ship, or a pod out of there."

S.D V: "That's insane!"

Uzi: "Think about it.. it involves mass murder!"

S.D V: "..Okay, I'm in." She said simply.

S.D N: "Well.. I suppose if you're going to do it, I'll do it as well."

Uzi: "Great!" She clasped her hands. "Now, let me make up a plan." She got up, and the three now followed the ship. N carried Uzi as he flew with V, keeping the ship in sight.

For the next hour or so, Uzi formulated a plan, explaining it to both N and V. The stars glimmered in the night, the moon of the planet shining a bright, radiant white, Turley a wonderful site to behold. They did not take breaks as to not loose sight of the ship, which N immensely struggled with, however continued to do it anyway, flying into the deep, dark, and beautiful night.

Meanwhile on the ship, A approached E.

S.D A: "We should be landing in about.." He froze, his screen displaying the words 'Calculating' thirty minutes."

S.D E: "I still do not understand why you don't update your hardware."

S.D A: "I have been updating the weapon systems."

S.D E: "I know, but.. never mind." He sighed, shaking his head, and adjusting his cap. "You said thirty minutes, right?"

S.D A: "That is correct, captain, how long are we spending there?"

S.D E: "Well they managed to drastically lower the time needed, so around a day."

S.D A: "Excellent." A now turned to leave.

S.D E: "A."

S.D A: "Yes, captain?"

S.D E: "What is the chance of those three surviving."

S.D A: "Extremely unlikely, we observed the crash site, there seems to be no survivors.

S.D E: "Very good, that is all."

A now left the room, leaving E to observe the main deck.
