Murder Drones: Interstellar Annihilation (Previously Insanity)

-Part 34-

J and V stared up at the structure, the fog slowly fading into nothingness. The room was dark, empty and abandoned, devoid of any and all organic life. V, using night vision, located a lever, quite a big one at that. She approached it and pulled it down, causing it to emit a faint hum. Eventually, the lights switched on, one at a time they illuminated the room, the structure becoming clearer by the second. It was large, with two triangular shapes towering into the air, meeting in the middle, a small sphere present in between them, enough to fit a worker or disassembly drone, however, it had a part of it broken, as if something had escaped from it. V glanced over to J.

S.D V: "So.." She hesitated. "The hell is that?"

S.D J: "How should I know-?"

S.D V: "Well you're a boot licker for this company, thought you'd recognize it or something."

J shook her head.

S.D J: "Should we fly over to it?" She asked.

S.D V: "Maybe.." V replied, thinking for a moment. "Let's not try and break it, you never know what might happen. I just want to see what's in that middle bit."

S.D J: "Sure, yeah."

The two now opened their wings, flying over to the structure. They eventually reached the sphere, peering through the hole.

S.D V: "See anything?"

S.D J: "Not reall..- Hold on.."

S.D V: "What?"

J picked something up.

S.D J: "A.. teacup?"

S.D V: "Why the hell would that be in there?"

S.D J: "Hey.. hold on. This is the exact same cup we used to have in the mansion..-"

V's eyes widened a bit.

S.D V: "Really-?"

J nodded.

S.D V: "How's that possible?"

J now inspected the cup, looking at every single part of it, bottom to top, side to side. A symbol now circled the cup, the exact symbol that J and V were chasing just moments earlier. The teacup levitated out of J's grasp and was pulled back by some kind of force.

S.D V: "I think she's here-"

S.D J: "Oh yeah? What makes you say that?" She snorted.

S.D V: "Shut up, J.. She knows we're here, we have to get the hell out of this room-"

S.D J: "Fine fine.. I suppose you're right."

They now took off, flying back down to where the lever was, approaching the door. However, as soon as they were about to exit, something froze them in place, the exact symbol around their torso. V and J struggled as much as they could, but to no avail. Cyn had them in her demonic grasp.

S.D J: "..Fuck.. fuck-"

Cyn: "Profanity is not needed, giggle." Her robotic voice called out, echoing throughout the room. She had not revealed herself yet, however.

S.D V: "Show yourself-!"

Cyn: "I do not need to take orders from you, but very well." She lowered herself down from the air now, gently landing in front of the two. She had her usual maid outfit on, though it was damaged and dirty, worn down by the years that she had worn it for. She walked over to J. "My my.. It has been a while since we had a proper conversation, J, grin."

S.D J: "Shut up..-"

Cyn used her solver to crush J's hand, causing oil to splatter, and for her to let out a pained yell.

Cyn: "I shall not, you are quite rude.. nothing has changed I see. Head shake. J, do you remember the days at the mansion?"

S.D J: "Yes.. but I don't see how that has to do with-"

Cyn: "That is enough out of you." She cut her off. "I shall now proceed with what I have wanted to do since the day I met you. Revenge."

S.D J: "For wh-"

Cyn once again cut J off.

Cyn: "For everything, silly. Amused smirk. You and Tessa's parents tortured me, hated me even."

S.D J: "I.. I'm so-"

Cyn: "No you aren't. I can sense within you. You are strong on the outside, however your mind is weak. It is quite sad, really. All those years of beating me, chaining me up, and locking me in the basement have finally caught up to you, eh?" She moved closer to J, eyeing her down. "I love people like you, people with weak minds. They are just so easy to control.." Her neck now snapped over to V. "But you, oh wow.. you are different, the opposite even. Your mind is strong, powerful.. It is quite hard to take you over. That is why you are my hostage. And as for you, J." Cyn grabbed onto J's hand. "You shall join me in the Crusade."

S.D V: "LET GO OF HER-!"

Cyn ignored her.

J's visor slowly shut down, as she began to reboot. Cyn let go of her hand, now stepping back. She approached another door, revealing clones of E and A. She reached her hand into both of their chests, ripping out their cores as she consumed them.

Cyn: "Mm.. Tasty. Lick." She smiled. "That hit the spot, I have not had a proper meal in years. Head shake.. sigh." She now stared at V. "Do not shout at me."

While this occurred, Tessa, N and Uzi drew closer to V's location, eventually reaching Mr. Jenson's office. The secret hatch was already opened, they simply went through it, and down into the hallway that V and J once walked through.

Uzi: "Okay.. we have no idea what the hell could be behind the final door, let's just be stealthy, alright-?"

S.D N: "Sure.."

Tessa nodded, as they all now began moving throughout the hallway, not making a sound. After a couple minutes, they made it to the final door. They laid down on their stomachs, crawling towards it. Uzi peered through a small gap. She saw V tied up, J powered off, and Cyn standing in front of them.

S.D N: "What's the plan?" He said in a whisper.

Tessa: "To be honest, I have no idea. Her power is way too unpredictable."

Uzi: "Then should we be unpredictable too-?"

Tessa: "I suppose so.. It's a lost cause if we do something too obvious."

Uzi nodded, and now, via the gap, aimed her railgun at Cyn. She squeezed the trigger, causing a large burst of neon green energy to take down half of the door, as it ravaged towards Cyn. She side stepped, the shot striking the structure, causing it to collapse.

Cyn: "New playmates. Giggle." Her head slowly turned to face the trio, a crazed hunger imbedded into her digital, soulless eyes.
