"How long are they going to take?" I asked while I paced back and forth on the bus.

"Luke, it's going to take a while. Just quit being so anxious. Dr. Levin's is doing everything he can," Bridget told me while sitting on the couch with her coffee, "Just have a little faith."

"It's easier said than done," I said as I continued to pace the floor.

"Would you just sit down?" Momma questioned me, "You're just making this worse on everyone."

"UGH!" I groaned plopping down on the couch next to Bridget.

"Dammit, Luke!" Bridget yelled as her coffee sloshed out of the cup and all over her.

"I'm sorry," I apologized with little sincerity.

"Whatever," Bridget said as she got up and went to our bedroom.

"Thomas Luther! You go apologize to your wife properly!" Momma demanded, "She could have seriously gotten burnt!"

"Yes ma'am," I grunted as I got up off the couch and walked to our now closed bedroom door.

I grabbed the knob and tried to open the door, but it was locked. I have no clue why she would lock the door on me. It just didn't make sense.

"Babe," I said as I knocked on the door.

"What?" She replied. I couldn't see her, but I could hear in her voice that she was upset and crying.

"Can I come in?" I asked my wife.

She didn't say anything, but I heard her unlock the door. I opened it and walked in our bedroom. She was sitting on the bed with her head in her hands. I quickly swooped over to her pulling her into my arms.

"It's okay," I soothed playing with her long golden locks that draped down over her shoulders.

"No, it's not, Luke," Bridget said now in full blown tears, "What if this don't work? What if counseling won't be enough? What will we do if it's not enough?"

"Baby, look at me," I said lightly pushing her chin up until her tear stained eyes met mine, "It will all be okay. If it's not enough then we'll cross that bridge when we get there. Until then we'll just have to pray that it will."

"Pray about everything, right?" Bridget questioned as a slight smile ran across her face.

"Exactly. Pray about everything," I smiled pulling her into my arms once again.

Bridget and I sat there for a while. Bridget eventually stopped crying, but it didn't stop me from holding her in my arms. I could have sat here all day with my wife in my arms, but there was things the both of us had to do. It was just a matter of time before Dr. Levin and Til were back.

"I would like to talk to you if that's possible," Dr. Levin said to Bridget and I as Til settled in at the table across from Kenzie.

"That's fine," I said, "How about we step into Spinnaker?"

"Are you okay with Til and Kenzie?" Bridget asked Momma.

"I've got the kids. You two just go," Momma smiled at Bridget as she lightly pushed us towards the door behind Dr. Levin.

I shook my head at her and followed my wife and Dr. Levin to a back table inside Spinnaker. It was a secluded area in the back far away from any of the few people who were there at the time. Dr. Levin slid into the booth and Bridget scooted in on the opposite side with me following right behind her. Bridget reached around and grabbed my leg under the table letting me know she was scared of what he might say. I reached down grabbing her hand, interlacing my fingers with hers, to give her a sense of comfort.
