"Hey, hey!" Clark called out loudly as Tiana had been rushing around with Liliana hanging off of her shoulders. "The food's here!" Both Tiana and Liliana rushed into the house again, while Liliana dropped into Clark's arms and Tiana was digging into the food containers that Sam had brought around for them.
"Well, you were hungry." Sam noted and Tiana glanced up at him, before she silently was turning back to her food. "That was just a fact, I wasn't trying to insult you." He said and Tiana shrugged. "Have you seen Luthor at all?" Sam wondered out loud.
"If Clark hasn't seen him, then I haven't." Tiana replied evenly as she was finishing the Chinese food. "It has been over a month. Surely if he was going to make a move, then he would have done so by now?" She was thinking out loud about it.
"Maybe that's some good news." Sam Lane seeing something on the brighter side of life for a change, that was new.
"Dad, he threatened me." Lois argued without delay. "Told me to retire from journalism, or he would come back, and I've published a lot of articles since then."
"Luthor knows he'd have to go through me and Superman to hurt you, and that's not gonna happen." Sam said and Tiana cleared her throat. "And the Flash, her as well." Sam added after the fact and Tiana nodded.
"Hey, Grandpa." Jon stated as him and Jordan were walking into the kitchen, with Jon already back in his firehouse gear and ready for his shift.
"Boys. How's it feel to be halfway through high school?" Sam asked.
"Good."
"Fine." Of course Jordan was morose about it, he was still grumbling about not being able to save anybody or use his abilities, thanks to Clark and Lois insisting on it after his comments about not caring about the secret or about the warnings that they had provided to him.
"Goes fast, doesn't it?" Sam stated.
"Not fast enough." Jordan muttered angrily.
"Hey, are you two gonna help set up for the meteor shower on Main Street?" Lois asked quickly, trying to distract from Jordan's bad attitude.
"Uh, yeah, it's tomorrow." Jon said as he caught the apple that Tiana threw over to him.
"I'm helping as well, trying to take some of the heat off of this one." Tiana noted, nodding over at Jon quickly.
"That was nice of you to volunteer to help Coach Gaines." Lois agreed.
"Well, he does think that Jon destroyed his football program." Jordan was being ever the Debbie Downer, trying to ruin everybody else's days ever since he got his heartbroken. Even though it was 99% his fault throughout it all, Jordan just couldn't see it.
"Jordan, do you have plans for the summer yet?" Clark asked and Tiana was cleaning up the trash and the empty food containers quickly, before she was dropping it all into the bin and she was replacing the bag with a new one.
"Sit around here and mope?" Tiana muttered under her breath not so quietly and at the sarcastic and sometimes hurtful words, Clark looked distinctly unimpressed with her, knowing that Jordan could hear her and Tiana was avoiding his gaze.
"I don't know. Not really." Jordan said with a shrug.
"Okay, well, you're not just gonna sit around here moping the whole time." Tiana immediately whipped her head around to stare at Clark, after he had basically just stolen her sentiments word for word. But since Clark was entirely focused on Jordan at the moment, he wasn't paying attention.
