Cameron was silently listening in the atmosphere, trying to get a better grip on having his powers back.
"Cameron."
Cameron looked up, his eyes were swiftly snapping open at the sound of Tiana's voice ringing through his head.
"We need to talk."
Cameron was disappearing from the atmosphere and a moment later now, he was landing next to Tiana, who was looking at him. "Nice watch." Cameron said, nodding at his watch that she was wearing and Tiana was looking at him.
"Very funny." Tiana muttered as she was messing with it. "You have been avoiding me, which is pretty easy to do when you can fly. Even if I'm the fastest person on earth."
"Yeah, well... You kind of forced me to lie a couple of days ago, so yeah... I have been off these past two days, just trying to figure out how to justify it. To myself, mainly." He shook his head. "You lied to everybody in town about exactly what Mateo Cortez could do, and much more importantly, you haven't told Jonathan about what you were doing with his help." Cameron shook his head. "I mean, Mateo was sending your mind over to the Bizarro World to talk to me. You can see how I'm concerned, that you never told Jonathan about this. Right?"
"It's none of your damn business, what I choose to tell him or not." Tiana said as her hands were crackling with lightning. "You don't get to come back home and judge me, when you were the one who went to Bizarro World to die!"
Before those particular words were even out of her mouth, Tiana already knew that it was the wrong thing to say. But it was too late for her to take them back as Cameron stared down at her, before he nodded.
"Yeah." Cameron's voice, it was cracking with pain and Tiana sighed. "Yeah, you're completely right that I don't get to come back and judge you. But... I also know exactly how well, outright lying to your partner works out for everybody." Cameron was backing away, before his eyes were full of pain.
"Cameron..."
"I'm going to see if I have any assets left anywhere." Cameron said as she could see the pain in his face.
"Cameron, wait!" But Cameron blasted off before she could finish and Tiana stared at the spot where he had been standing, her eyes stunned at the deep crater that was in the ground.
"What's going on?" Jon asked and he was walking out of the house with Liliana in his arms. "Was, was that Cameron?" He questioned and Tiana stared at him at the question, before she was nodding quickly.
"Yeah, it was." Tiana murmured, before she let out a heavy sigh. "I'm going to call Mateo and we are going to leave Liliana with your brother. Because, we need to talk about something."
It took an hour for them to find a spot to meet Mateo, while calling Jordan right back over to the house, for him to watch Liliana for a while.
Tiana and Mateo were sitting on the couch opposite Jon, who had been silently staring at them and they were waiting for him to say something.
To say anything at all, really. Since all he had done was simply stare at them for the past forty minutes, while they explained it all. "You have been communicating with Cameron mind-to-mind, ever since he left for the Bizarro World?" Jon asked and Tiana was nodding. "Mateo, you have been sending her mind... You didn't tell anybody else about this?" He asked.
