Soo ah was the first one to reach Sanha’s house.
She was feeling ecstatic. Out of this world.
But something pulled at her heart. Something bad. What if everything goes downhill all of a sudden. What if she loses everything all over again. Her bright face started to get all mushy.
She quickly shakes her head trying to push away her bad thoughts. She walked down the road which was unusually quiet.
And then without warning it started to snow. She looked up in awe seeing the first snow of the year. Snowflakes fell down on her face, melting. She smiled looking up. She suddenly felt the urge to call Sanha.
“Hey, what are you doing ?” Her breath hitched.
“Preparing everything? There's a party obviously.” He put on a sarcastic tone.
“Oh really? Why do I feel I was the one who planned it” she retorted and he chuckled on the phone.
“It's snowing. Did you see?” She asked.
“Oh really?”
She heard some noises and something falling down. She shook her head laughing slightly.
“It really is. Isn't this the first snow” he asked in awe.
“I love you” Soo ah blurted out and it felt like she couldn't say it if not now.
There was a moment of silence and anxiety started to wrap Soo ah.
“I am so sorry. That was so - you don't have to say it-”
“I love you too. Gosh I want to kiss you right now. Come quickly” Sanha was giggling on the other side making Soo ah blush as she stood quietly.
“I am hanging up.” She didn't wait to hear his answer.
She was feeling her inside burn and melt at the same time. She quickly walked to his apartment building which was only a few feets away now.
When she reaches the elevator, someone was already waiting there with jetblack hair and long coat. She recognised him in a second. Moonbin.
Hearing her footsteps he looked back but quickly turned his head away. Soo ah scoffed disbelief.
“Yaaa. What the hell?” Soo ah walked towards him with scowl in her face.
“I am not talking to you” Moonbin said not even looking at her.
“Why?” She was confused.
“You know why?” He replied entering the elevator followed by Soo ah.
“I genuinely don't know why”
“Because, you left without saying a damn word. I don't know about others but I know at least something about Han bin.you could have told me.I would have tried something.Maybe not something stupid like what Sanha did.”
“Hey” she took that offensive.
“Anyway I am mad at you”, He shrugged.
Soo ah stayed quiet processing what he said.
“Fair enough. But” she paused, “It's not fair to me. I was in a situation and Sanha only knew about it because unfortunately and fortunately he was there at that time.I am not obligated to tell everyone everything” she countered making Moonbin open and close his mouth.
“Fair enough” he muttered and they both went back huffing and puffing.
“Hey. truce?” Soo ah asked loudly after they got out of the elevator.
“Yeah. Truce,”. They shook their hands and walked to Sanha's.
They didn't say much and rang the doorbell. Sanha opened it quickly.
Soo ah quickly cleared her throat making Sanha actually see Moonbin was there too. Sanha, who was actually ready to jump on and XO her, awkwardly smiled at his hyung who had narrowed his eyes at them suspiciously.
Sanha invited them in. He gave them some drinks. They started with some small talks. After some time everyone started to drop in one by one.
Everyone was gathered around the living area with drinks and snacks. Everyone was chatting with each other just enjoying the whole vibe of home.
Soo ah, who was talking with Jinjin, looked around. Without a warning she got up from the couch and fixed her throat grabbing everyone's attention.
She once again looked around and saw the eyes that were eager to know what she had to say.
“So…I actually don't know what to say. You probably heard it all from Sanha. So yeah I quit. I am sorry. And..”
“Why are you saying sorry, girl?” Mj chirped in but it earned him a slap in the hand from eunwoo.
“Okay, no yapping and weeping tonight. I just want to announce that I am publishing my book” She shouted, cheering,and everyone went crazy at that.
“That was so fast,” Rocky said, still gaping at her.
“Yeah. It was so crazy. I still can't believe it” She beamed at him as she glanced at Sanha through her corners of eyes who was giving her proud look.
“Is there anything you wanna tell us Sanha” Moonbin said in knowing tone making Sanha and Soo ah share a look.
“Uhh, what do you mean?” Sanha decided to keep play the hide and seek.
“Just say it, Sanha. Stop playing dead” Eunwoo deadpanned.
“Fine” Soo ah aggressively said.
“We might be in a committed relationship. Maybe” her voice went lower and lower in embarrassment.
Rocky, Moonbin, Eunwoo and Jinjin gave each other a knowing look and smirked while Mj was panicking.
“You guys all knew? Without me? Why am I the only one who doesn't know shit about this”
“That's because you have a small brain just like your height” Sanha didn't forget to throw some shade even though he was red from the announcement they just made. He moved quickly to Jinjin avoiding a punch from Mj and giggled.
Soo ah watched them quietly. Those six people that helped her built up the person she was today. She couldn't think of another universe where she didn't meet them. She might be still in a slump not knowing what to do. Not knowing who she is.
And Sanha. That boy made her go to the places she hadn't gone before. Her heart went to places and he didn't even know he did that. He was patient and careful with her. He was clumsy sometimes. But he still cared. Treated her like a vase that was in the making. He heated her up and made a perfect vase. She didn't know where this would lead to. He's an Idol and she was his ex-manager. Things might get messy. But she didn't think about the future
Soo ah still had things to fix. Maybe they were not things that are not meant to be fixed. But she knew she could face it no matter what. Because she had people with her. People who loved her. People who she knew will say ‘just come back’ anytime of the day or midnight.
That was all that she needed.
