Chapter 29 - Right Track

Sanha pulled her into a tight hug. Soo ah closed her eyes and breathed him in. He smelled like lavender.

"You smell good" she whispered

"Do I?" he asked and she snuggled on his shoulder as a response.

They quickly parted ways as they heard someone coming through the front door. It must be Dami.

" Awww I wanted to give you a congratulatory kiss" Sanha whined

"Well, not anymore" Soo ah said as she sat down on her bed. Sanha followed her, but lied down. Soo ah chuckled seeing him.

"This reminds me of that night" She said lying beside him.

"How much I wanted to shut out to the world how I liked you that day."

"Oh really?" She said kind of jokingly.

"I bet you were having an existential crisis that day too"

"Fine. You got me", she laughed.

"So what did the mail say" Sanha turned around facing her.

Soo ah grinned. "Okay so they want to meet me on the 23rd to discuss that, I don't know, everything. I am not really familiar with how this thing works. Anyway I am happy. After that even if it's good news or bad news I want to call everyone for a party. By everyone I meant the members."

"Sure. Where do you want to host it. My house?"

"It's okay. We can actually hold it here. But it's kind of.." she trailed off.

"It's fine we can just do it in my apartment" Sanha smiled at her. He just stared at her. Her twinkling eyes. She's beautiful.

Sanha went forward and pecked her temple.
"I am so proud of you" he whispered. Soo ah smiled and snuggled to hug him.

Days passed away quickly. It was already nearing the day of the meeting. Soo ah was really positive these days. She had money in her account. She got a boyfriend. The Astro members are texting her regularly after she told them vaguely about what happened. She also asked Sanha to fill them up. They were going to meet up anyway.

Altogether she was getting somewhere in her life. She tried to cook different dishes everyday. Even though Dami was done with Soo ah's enthusiasm she let it slide and ate it. Luckily it would be tasty. Sometimes it would be a straight up horror show. Sometimes Sanha would also become part of the show.

But there was something missing. Inwoo. He still hadn't contacted her. Soo ah was felt like she was on the right track on her life so she decided to contact him first. And he surprisingly replied fast. They agreed to meet in a cafe.

It was a sunny day yet it was so cold. Soo ah wore her muffler and the playboy beanie Sanha gave her. She checked herself in the mirror and she could only see her eyes and nose. The beanie reminded her of the night everything happened. In the thought of it she took her things and went outside.

The cafe was on the other side of Gangnam. It was a small cafe with a beautiful view and setup. Everything was green there. The walls were lime green. Even the table and chair were green. Soo ah took a seat next to the door and waited for Inwoo to come.

Soon he came rushing inside. His hair was messy. But overall he looked okay. He was handsome as before. His eyes were still big. He was wearing a long coat and a turtle neck. He looked around and Soo ah waved at him.

He smiled a little at her and took the opposite seat to her.

"Did you order anything?" He initiated the talk.

She said no and so when the waiter came over both of them ordered their food.
After they ordered the mood shifted. The heater in the cafe suddenly became too hot.
Soo ah was playing with her fingers not knowing how to start.
